For big mods, I'd start with a GT. A GT350 is pretty fantastic, but it's more dialed in as a track car OOTB, and just from a collectability/retained value standpoint (i.e., a Shelby), I'd leave one more or less stock.

Also keep in mind - especially with your location in Orlando (I'm up in St. Aug) - the GT can be had in a pretty sweet convertible, now with the PP as an option. However, if you wanted a supercharged cruising weapon, an auto with a Whipple, maybe a little suspension, wheels/tires would be pretty outstanding.

Hey guys my name is Enzo. Currently I have a Dodge Challenger RT with some mods on it. Just recently I been looking into the Mustang. Im slowly and surely falling in love with it and losing the love I have for my car. So Im now in the market for either a Challenger Hellcat, GT350, or a GT. After doing some research I've become very impressed with how well this coyote engine performs and how much power it puts out compared to the size of the Hemi 6.4L. Ive seen so many videos with people just putting a supercharger on the GT and pushing out 600rwhp bone stock. It takes so much to do that with a HEMI. So I was really interested in doing the GT350, but noticed it has high compression so can't go high in boost. I think the GT seems the proper way to go. Is there anything I should look for or anything I should be aware of getting into a mustang gt? Thank you guys for all the input!

I also came out of a Challenger R/T a 2013, and really the cars aren't comparable.

What to watch for is if you go performance pack like I did you will get worse mileage than the R/T and you will shift a lot around town.

Really? Why so? I have 3.31 and wanted get 3.7 gears for now but I plan to go s/c route in the future as well.

With 3.73s and boost 1st and sometimes second become useless.

I don't really know but I think the deal is that you go through the gears too quickly and don't get as much of the full powerband. The 3.73s put you in high RPMs real quick.

Well Im currently working with a dealer to try and get a decent trade in for my car. Im trying to stay around the same monthly. As far as the 3.73 goes it did feel snappier and almost more so for the track then the drag strip the rams went by really fast on it. The 3.3x was smoother and but the pick up felt slower, when I went WOT on the 3.73 the car just whooped my head and the sales reps head back and you felt the pressure. It was funny because the sales rep didn't know how to drive very well and he was just telling me the whole time to rip it lol. I went to greenway ford and man they just didn't care about quality at all they just wanted quantity. I left the dealer with no car, but Im working with Ron Norris Ford in Titusville, they seem to be very friendly and are working to try and get the right numbers for me. This Mustang really got me hooked, I love everything about it, and it feels very luxurious and smooth when driving it. So far Im looking between a black or blue with the performance package gt premium with nav. Hopefully the right numbers come back in so I can be official with it.
