Unless I am wrong, there were 2 updates and if memory serves me right one or both of those tranny updates was to address the 1 second time delay when hitting the pedal. Please someone correct me if I am wrong about this.

Liked the video, switching drivers and doing it a second time I thought was a good and fair for the test.

next round, you brake to a stop, conduct a 3-point turn inside a small box, and then do the second leg.

The lack of boundaries on the u-turn invites "cheating". Not that it would have altered the outcome. And since when is 2 runs a statistically significant result? Should be at least 6 runs and also control for lane. Maybe the GT500 heat-soaks and falls on it's face. :)

Older video, but it’s just popped up on my feed and I thought it made a good comparison :

Wouldn't you know the answer to this question? Don't you own one?

Yes I own one, and I had the firmware updates done when it came out which I think was in the 2020 winter and I think the second was in the spring of 21, I never tested to see if it was truly corrected as the firmware was not specifically for the 1 second delay, and since then the topic fell to the wayside, which brings me back to my statement of "correct me if I'm wrong".

You could have simply just said you don't drive your car, so you don't know if it was updated to fix it or not.

I sort of like these videos though I skip through all the talking. Something different than just a drag race. It's worth noting that the GT500 they used has Cup 2s and the Blackwing has the OEM PS4S.

I'd like to see this same test with a ZL1 A10 and a base GT500 as they come from the factory. And another w/ a ZLE A10 vs GT500 CFTP.

I agree with that. However, in this instance they were saying the temperature was cold which may have severely impacted the Cup2's getting off the line. Per the Edmunds blog write up, the GT500 did 0-60 in 4.3s on run #1 and 4.8s (yikes!) on run #2. Whereas CT5-V BW did 4.2s on both runs.
