I get it and I'm glad someone else is pushing the envelope of what's possible.I know sounds crazy. But I’m sure you understand. I wouldn’t be happy about it but the fact it was mine would soften the blow. You know how many times many W30 has been towed. I’ll take that over not owning it.
I am old and rich with a trophy wife.LOLWith their nursing homes on lock down they're a little testy right now.
Yep, 1970 and it is a covertible too. Left me stranded more than once to my wife’s chagrin but it’s still my favorite car to cruise in on a beautiful day.W30 442?
Axle's seem to the be the problem. From looking at the thread it's going to plague the C8 if the insiders are correct.Looks like that C8 was an LG Motorsports car. They are a major Corvette tuner in the DFW area (I had their cam and headers on my C6Z). LG used to race his C6R against the factory vettes when it was called American Lemans.
They broke a stock axle:

Can hardly wait till they try tuning the trans for firmer upshifts and it goes pop. Or maybe they did? Geniuses where complaining about it not shifting from 1-2They broke a stock axle:
Edit: Oops, meant to quote rich and trophy wife's.Hell yeah. Classic ride, especially a W30.
Saw him spray it too.Another C8 strip video, this one runs 12.10s at 118-mph.
Not sure where all these 11:00s or better are. The way these were reviewed there would be no traction issues at all, the car hooked as is. We now have 3 different 1/4 mile times from C8s and the best is 11:50s @ only 119. The very first owner trip to the strip in a 500 with an absolute rookie driving, produced 10:60s @ 132. The new C8 needs to worry about very lightly modded SS and GTs, never mind 500s.Here is another C8 going 3.1 0-60 and 11.5 in the 1/4 mile on the street with a passenger in the car. Remember that almost all car makers use rollout for their 0-60 numbers, the only car I can think of in the last few years that didn’t use it was the demon, that 2.3 0-60 was a true 0 to 60 mph, with rollout it would have been 2.1
Mostly true. The REDEYE is 3/10ths faster in the quarter mile if it has the 3.09 gears.Comming from a Ford guy and Mustang owner , on the drag strip a stock Redeye on drag radials vs a stock GT500 on drag radials kills the GT500...I was there at Atco racing my own Mustang the same time Stangmode was racing his GT500 against the ZO6 and C8 corvettes...If you watch those stangmode videos you can see my velocity blue 2020 Mustang GT lined up behing Stangmode and next to the red C8....There was a battleship gray 100% stock Redeye with just a drag radial going 10.30's all day...Stangmodes best run that day was 10.75...Stangmode obviously wanted no part of racing that guy...He had plenty of chances before the C8 came to play...That guy knows how to race his redeye...Modtofame knows nothing about his redeye can not race for shit...You can also see the redeye I am talking about right in the video link I provided...Here is a redeye doing 10.3 the exact same day as stangmode doing 10.7...Nobody can dispute DA , air temp or track conditions for both cars...The redeye was the 1st race against this guys red challenger and he even shows the time slip...I also raced that red heavily modified sticky tire challenger and took him down in my 100% stock mustang GT on my stock radials at 37psi with a 1/2 tank of gas...Just jump to the 9:30 mark to see both my races against him..I should have ran 12.0's in both passes but traction control kicked during shifts on both passes..In our 2nd race when I pulled him you will actually see my front end nose down a split second from that shift..I did 12.11 at 118 as a best that day...On a drag radial with skinnies 1/4 tank of gas actually launching the car and racing in drag strip mode I am an 11.8 car all day...The whole video is pretty good he even spoke with stangmode in 1 part..
