Ford Performance Tune for 2018+ GT

Dealer installed today. First impressions on an A10 car ( was raining ) the shifts have become less "violent" which tbh I'm not liking. Before it hit much harder in Sport plus etc. This shifts do feel quick and less sloppy but definitely hit less harder then before if that makes sense.Before it would bang gears ala shift kit car. Low end throttle response so far I'm very pleased with in the limited spirited driving I could do. No top end wot pulls to comment on. Overall I'm pleased with the kit

I do have (or did ) have a JLT passenger side catch can which I reinstalled. However in the attached images I'm not liking how close to the throttle bottle exposed wires it is. So I have taken it off atm. That can will get very hot and I dont want to cinge the wires. Anyone else running this catch can safely? Any recommendations on alternatives or fixes for the one I have so it doesn't damage the wires?

I have that catch can. Just swap the two lines. Change the small line and the long line, they have nuts at the end at the can so you can switch them. Then it will push the can further back away. It gets a little slanted but still serves its purpose. I did this back when the tune first came out. I have that catch can. Just swap the two lines. Change the small line and the long line, they have nuts at the end at the can so you can switch them. Then it will push the can further back away. It gets a little slanted but still serves its purpose. I did this back when the tune first came out. Yep, the same questions since I had this installed April 2020. Every time I get a post notification it's "Is it worth it?" "What did you do with your catch can?"

I keep subscribing for "It blowed up my car!!!" Thankfully, we haven't seen that. Good job Ford Performance!

So, my 1 1/2 year review:

The car should've come this way from the factory. Screw gas mileage! Get it!
and...
there are so many catch can hacks and options these days. It won't be a problem.

^^ I was in the first wave of orders too, installed mine early May 2020. Its great, been 1 and half years and enjoy it. Manual transmission, good down low. BUT i also installed 4.09 rear gears a year ago up from 3.55. I do pulls from 2nd like 50 mph at 5,000 rpm and it pulls hard, throw back in my seat.

I've ordered one for my 2020 MT82. It arrived yesterday, but was damaged in shipping, so waiting on a replacement intake unit. Saying that, I'm beyond excited about getting it installed and feeling the difference.

I supercharged the car with a centrifugal unit but managed to keep Ford Performance shifting strategy within the new tune.
I loved how smoothly the FP calibration worked na with the a10 and wanted to carry it over. Was a great decision and wanted to provide the feedback for those fearing loosing the benefits of the FP tune if going boosted.

My only hesitation is that I want to boost the car in the early months of 2023. Not set at all on the type yet, be it turbos, a PD SC or right now leaning toward a ESS centri kit.

Have 3.55 now.

I recently replaced the factory grille with an aftermarket mach 1 type (fully open mesh) and a Velossa big mouth on the driver's side. IAT is now 3-4 degrees above ambient when moving even at low speeds. I used some reflective DEI tape on the FP airbox and even in 90 degree temps the IAT at idle was right around where the stock air box was.

Overall I'm glad I did the Tune / intake / TB. Can't decide now whether I want to do 4.09 gears first or the digital dash conversion. Good trouble to have I guess.

Yellow is paper
Blue is washable and reusable

I now have two yellow filters ;). So once the yellows are done, I'll move over to blue haha

In that case, it will be a loooong time before you will need to order a blue one. After one season my paper filter hardly has any dirt on it. A few dead flies here and there are easily blown off.
