You can run some E85, 3-4 gallons in a blend. Not full E85

Anybody have this Power Pack kit installed on a 2018-2020 Mustang GT 10 speed 300A yet? If so, I would like to hear about how the car improved with this kit installed.

Thanks

I'll mirror what's often said and that's to take it into an empty parking lot and see what happens. If you're new to it then that first gear pull, without any traction control, will be terrifying in the best kind of way.
Good idea for sure. I think another good way to learn your car better is to take it to an autocross event and get one of the experienced folks to ride along with you (typically held in large parking lots). It's a legal and controlled environment that will help you get a better feel. Then you can even do a track event as a novice and learn even more at faster speeds. You don't have to be going balls out to learn the ropes, and you won't break anything doing a few laps here and there. Good stuff to grasp and help build your confidence.

Does this help a little with power? Just a small blend? Curious.
I do it to get my fuel to 93 octane, as most states only get 91 octane now. There is a small gain to be had going from 91-93 octane, also the cooling benefits of the extra ethanol. My blend currently consists of 3 gallons E85 to 13 gallons of 91. You also have to be careful on the E85, not all E85 is E85. In Cali we get the good stuff, full E85 which is 100-105 octane.

^^ got you. I am lucky enough to have 93 around here. But just wondering if adding a small amount of e85 will still help some.

The cooling benefits are the big one. The hot air and summer heat can cause knocking. There's also a very good chance that this power pack adds timing beyond 93 octane so giving yourself a bump in octane could be beneficial. I've read that the stock tune will adjust for as high as e30.

Yup main benefit from the cooling effects and being a tad more knock resistant with a slight blend. Wouldn't really be adding any timing though to increase hp per say, assuming already at 93 octane. If only at 91 the blend should increase octane a bit and the tune should add timing until you reach the top end of 93.

Yeah it's maybe one or two octane bump at the most. There's calculators online. 12 gal of 93 e10 + 4 galons of e85 is 95 octane, and that's assuming those numbers. More realistically speaking is that e85 pump is spitting out closer to e50 and the 93 e10 is always an assumption.

Anyone with the automatic PP1 upgrade to the 3.73 or 4.09 gear after getting this tune/ kit installed? Would that be something that people with the 10R80 would want to do? Pros and Cons?

To be frank I don't think that will help. The 10 spd auto ratios are already so close and tight I don't see the benefit unless you are running D/Rs or slicks at the track.

And if you are doing that, it would probably be better to get a high-stall converter.
