I was doing some research about GPS trackers just in case, and found that most of them are terrible.

I've thought about installing an electric gas shut off switch, but I'd want to do it professionally and not sure of the cost.

What are you guys doing/have done, to your cars to prevent/make it harder to be stolen?

I have the factory alarm -- it's SUPER sensitive; yesterday I went to put my wipers back down after I pulled up them before an anticipated snowfall the night before and just the soft thud of the wiper hitting the windshield set the alarm off.

I ordered my mustang, and I was considering getting the enhanced security package. So the active security package has a shock sensor? What else does it have that the stock "alarm system" doesn't have?

I'm curious now, as if this is the case I'm gonna call my dealership to add the enhanced security package

I ordered the enhanced security, but I never pay attention to a car's alarm going off and I've never met anyone else who actually does. Which is why I was looking for an added security measure....

I just pay a guy to blast TURN DOWN FOR WHAT any time someone comes near my car. It's a rather jarring experience:

I flirted with the idea of putting Lojack into this Mustang but I've decided not to. I feel like the enhanced security package gives me the extra layer of deterrent once my vehicle is approached and if some thieves decide they want hook my Mustang up and tow it away and hope to start it without the FOB, so be it. Besides, I've paying for full coverage from the insurance company - someone takes my '15 and I get a '16....and a Lojack.

DIY remote kill switch. Spliced a toggle switch in the 'clutch depressed to start' switch. This was on an older BMW, the higher tech mustang might be more difficult to try this on.

The enhanced security system is great- I was jacking up my car to take a wheel off earlier and the thing started honking at me, haha.

Shock sensor, interior motion sensors (leave the window open while parked and toss something onto your seat, the alarm goes off), auto-locking center console, wheel locks, locking steering column.
