I was wondering if pulling my starter motor relay, (#81 in the under hood fuse/distribution box) will prevent my 2020 GT from starting for use as my anti theft device? Will anything be damaged if I do this? I found some answers to my question after I "searched forums." Thanks!

I’m interested in what others in the know have to say about this. On some others cars I’ve owned, I used to pull the fuel pump fuse when I had to leave for extended periods.

I can't imagine anything being damaged by doing it. Otherwise if the relay failed (open relay coil, high resistance in relay contacts, etc.) damage would occur to your car? That would mean it was poorly designed in my book.
