Sup,

I spent from the age of 19 to 26 in the CAF (Canadian Armed Forces). I will not carry as gun because of this. What would be the best security system that employs no violence on my part?. Lojack?

LoJack and other systems like it will help the police locate your vehicle after it's stolen, it won't stop it from being stolen. the question you have to answer is: "do you want your car back after they've gotten a hold of it"?

My brother's STS was stolen and they took it over a couple of curbs, knocking a hole in the oil pan, then continued driving it with no oil in the engine. would you want that back?

If you're going to get a aftermarket system get an active one, not a passive one. I had rigged a magnetic switch in my fox body to a relay connected to the fuel pump. I hid one side behind the dash & if the other magnet was not in the correct place, there was no fuel pump. they can try to start it all they want, all they'll get is a dead battery...

I don't know anyone who has had a post 2005 model car stolen. Its much more likely that you'll just get carjacked while you're either in it or near it. Just get your CCW and call it a day

If y'all have not tried yet and I do not have all the specifics why.. maybe postcrash 911.... if you go into your information area and click where am i your car will give you lat and long info.... maybe someone can give some light in this... can it also be used in tracking if say, your mustang got stolen? Mine does not have navigation

In my other cars, I have a gas/electric shut off. With either a push of a button or having to put a key in. I'm probably going to do a gas shut off.

I have a large safe with toys to take care of problems like this. But I'll just leave the car as is....not even the enhanced security package. It's garaged every night and I park by security cams at work that I can view.

Nobody pays attention to alarms at all in parking lots. I am thinking of Lojack but if it does get stolen then I'm using insurance money for a GT350, so not sure yet.

I just put a sign in my side window. Pet snake inside 3 days a week. You guess the days! Never had a car stolen even with the keys in it!

Only concern I have with Lojack is....I would be afraid they might find it, and it would be in such a condition that I would not WANT it back....Just as soon they got it to the "chop shop", so I could replace it through my insurance.....

Ya somebody else posted that earlier. Was a good point could only imagine what the car would look like. Bye bye 20 inch rims.

2 sub machines mounted to each side of the quarter panels. .50 cal mounted machine gun mounted to the roof top of the mustang. Special Glass side windows and windshield explode on impact from intrusion from intruder. Knives pop out from each rim and rotate continuously clock wise to prevent touching of the wheel area.

All of these defense mechanisms activate upon recognizing a threat approaching mustang. No questions asked about how it recognizes the threat. My mustang is smart and ALIVE!

I ordered the enhanced security, but I never pay attention to a car's alarm going off and I've never met anyone else who actually does. Which is why I was looking for an added security measure....
Guys, please enlighten me. I have the enhanced security also. But I havent had any kind of alarm go off and I've tried to trigger whatever alarm the car has by pushing on it, trying to open the doors, etc. while the key fob is some distance away. But nothing happens. No honking of the horn, siren, flahing lights, etc. Am I missing something? Do I need to do something to "set" the alarm, other than clicking the key fob to lock the car? If I do hit the fob twice the car honks, but again, if I come back a while later and push up and down on the car or try to open the doors, nothing.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
