Just bought a Roush cat back exhaust. Comes with the X pipe and I ordered an H pipe to replace that. But now I’m undecided. 90 percent of my driving is under 4k rpm. I want it to sound deep but want it to scream also when I hit the higher rpm’s. At the same time I want to hear the exhaust on my regular driving. What would I benefit more with?

X is just a more raspy.. I have an H-Pipe and its still plenty loud. These cars are more raspy already so that's why I went with the H-Pipe. You want lots of raspy or little raspy, that tis the question...

I have an H on mine while a co-worker has an X. Mine is a 22 with active exhaust and his is a 16 with Roush mufflers. Sitting side by side they sound the same, when we get on them his is no louder but it is raspier than mine. Mine is still raspy, but not as bad.

I prefer the sound of my x pipe. The car stil has deep tone rolling around and screams up top!

If just doing catback x pipe all the way feel the car gets way to raspy with catless and x . I ran h pipe on my catless 2012 and it sounded like thunder rolling through the city very nasty.
