So back a couple months ago I took my MACh1 in to the dealer as I had got the dreaded every safety feature light warning on the dash. Diagnosed as a bad wheel bearing/tone ring. It to them two tries to get the right wheel bearing/hub in to replace. When finished the gave me the car back and told me that the attaching bolts for the wheel bearing/hub didn't come with their parts order and were not available and on nation backorder. They would call me when they were available, and that Ford ok'd them to use the original bolts with Loctite to reassemble.
I talked with the service writer a couple weeks back to schedule the brake fluid light recall and reminded them there was an open ticket on my car for the replacement bolts. They sent the mobile guy out the next day to re-flash and take care of the recall. That part went flawless, and the tech even installed new wiper blades free of charge. I asked the mobile tech about the wheel bearing/hub bolt ticket, and he said they needed to do that at the dealership...... cool! He called the service manager and scheduled my MACh1 in this am to get this completed.
I wake up at o'buttcrack this morning to have the car there first thing when they open..... cool they take the car back offer me coffee and donuts and say it'll be less than a couple hours. They didn't have any loaners but offered me porter service if I wanted....cool. I sat in their customer lounge drinking coffee....eating donuts and watching Superbowl/Swift highlights etc. 1 1/2 hours later the service writer comes back and tells me they can't complete the repair because the bolts ordered are not correct and that the parts manager is on the phone with Ford. We go back to parts and the manager shows me the bolts and part # then shows me on the computer the listing. They are what's listed in Ford's parts system for 2022 MACh1's.
So, they put my car together re-using the now 3 times used single use bolts. Ford has opened a COPIS report with Ford Parts. Has anyone else run into this problem??? I know it's a parts bin car but WTF????
