Gave the car a wash and tried the $40 car cover I scored on ebay. Mainly for a dust cover during winter storage. For you folks that are ceramic coated, do you guys still put some type of dressing/protectant like Carpro Perl on the ceramic coated black exterior plastics?
Not necessarily, the tires on my truck have 8K mi and still have the little nubs on the sidewall. The top 2 tires looks like used. The sipes are more prominent on the bottom tires compared to the 2 top ones
I thought about getting the ZL1 skirt extension but figured I could come up with something. Front guards are from my old 2005 GT, got fancy with some cf vinyl that's going to get pummeled with debris 😁 oh well.
Installed the Steeda g-trac brace then cleaned the engine bay and lost one of the push pins for the battery cover. Slipped off my fingers, bounced and gone somewhere in the belly pan.
Had a scary moment, I thought for sure I would be dropping the car off to the dealership with 300mi on the clock...sheesh. Anyway, my Mach 1 is hooked up to my wifi and it did an update according to the Ford Pass app message. It was not a Sync update, it was something about power locks and...
I agree, after I got done installing it I said to myself wow it looks bulky. Maybe if they were painted to match the body color it would be less noticeable, I'll rock it for a couple and see how it goes.
Good use of the Ford rewards points. Vents were matte black and sprayed it with some plastidip anthracite gray to match the vinyl stripe, pretty close match.
When I bought my 2017 GT, I did the recommended engine break-in procedure (how I would normally drive) but instead of changing out the factory filled oil at 1K mi I changed it out at 5K mi with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum synthetic oil. That car never had the tick till the day I traded it for an...
It's some kind of chinese synthetic leather which actually feels pretty nice. Got it from an app called Temu, basically a chinese amazon. Installation is fairly easy. Snugs to the bolsters and a couple of elastic with j-hooks that goes underneath the seat.
Right around the 4min mark is when he took the carbon trap out. I followed his procedure except I didn't pry the inner tube with a screw driver, stuck my hand on the other end of the intake tube and pushed the whole carbon trap housing out. No broken clips
Day off of work and finally got my windows tinted. Messed around with photoshop, recreated the Mach 1 certificate. Replaced the blue Mach 1 with mine 😁
Cup 2's are definitely rock slingers. I've seen cars on my rear view mirror who tailgates for no apparent reason back off because of the amount of rocks hitting the front of their vehicle.
Yes sir! my jack did not fit also. I love my Craftsman jack, I've had it for 25 years. Back then Craftsman made quality tools, I actually ended up using one of those spare tire scissor jack to give it a tad bit of lift just enough to sneak my jack on the rails.
Tried out my jacking rails and placed the car on jack stands, and out of curiosity took a peek underneath the whole car. Found out the right side exhaust tip heatshield was a little crooked, fixed. Checked the AE valve harness plug to make sure its not up against the frame and surprisingly its...
