A search will also show that titanium is usually no stronger than a mid-grade steel and has a galling problem if used without some sort of lubricant/thread locker.

Guessing the reason for titanium lug nuts is for reduced weight. I will just go with a happy meal at lunch instead of a big mac to reduce weight and save $400.

Titanium is not meant to be stronger, it's meant to be lighter and just as strong as steel.

Although in lug nuts it's a gigantic waste of money for a few oz of weight savings. Titanium in the engine like connecting rods for example? Yeah that's a solid improvement.

True that, but some of the sellers advertise how strong they are (without comparing them to steel). Yep, a few oz less weight, nor a great rotational speed, geared down, and only a 4.5" circle. Agreed, waste of $$.
