Love the bottom mounts. Keeps heat away from the engine and gave me room to put a meth kit in the engine bay.
Any issues with the filters being by the ground? I daily my car year round, its my biggest worry that snow/water will screw me over with a bottom mount

as well as noise, i love the turbo noises and top mounts i know give huge noise, do the bottoms do the same or does it muffler it alot?

Yes and no. There are more parts with turbos so there is a chance of more maintenance but going with a good kit will minimize that. (Hellion not on3!) Now if your car needs other work you have a lot parts that may be in the way. When I pulled my motor I used alldata for direction. I think I got to step 2 or 3 before I had to detour and remove a bunch of crap to continue but it nothing was difficult if your mechanically incline but it's tedious. I do dread the day my starter goes out. Gotta pull half the exhaust, turbo, oil line etc.... also replacing my maf would have been a 2 minute job when it went out but now that it's in the intercooler it took me about an hour. Still wasn't hard. It happened right after my last shoulder surgery and I did the job both one arm. Hope that helps OP.
I can have my passenger side hellion turbo off and out of the way in about 20 minutes. Its probably easier to change a starter with my hellion kit than it was with long tubes.

I live in az so no snow but I daily mine rain or shine. 97,000 miles and over 50k of that with turbos. The filters turn up from the bottom by the engine so they have some protection. We had bad flooding once on the freeways and I didn't know until I hit it. I was sure I was about to hydrolock my engine but it handled it like a champ.

The wastegates sound great on my skeeter kit. I run a borla s type exhaust and it was too loud for me so I've added some extra mufflers to tame it down. It's still loud as hell and I get daily compliments.

The Hellion branded turbos come standard with their screamer option. My sleeper kit makes way too much turbo noise to be a sleeper. The filters are angled slightly upward and really aren't that close to the ground.

Th400 transmission will calm down a big power whipple car as well. I have a proven 7sec, bolt together converter for a whipple/th400 combo if anyone out there has an interest.
I hadn't considered an auto setup. But yeah, if you can feature the slip of the torque converter to soften out some of the violent instant torque, that would help.

Although it would probably be murderous on the trans to do it fully and you'd have to have some pretty sophisticated cooling, slipping the converter all the time would generate lots of heat.

Sometimes you get lucky & they do. Most times they don't. Would be nice if they offered the %15 off Whipple offers for Black Friday

Does hellion offer lifetime warranty? Looks like they do per their website?

I see they have various upgrades; can anyone help me understand the differences in the turbos offered?

For digital boost controller are there any nice ones that go in like the air vent or mount nicely?

Lastly, any recommendations on tuners both company any hardware? I currently have ngauge but considering different directions if needed.

It's a proven deal, non issue.

I have the 62/62 ball bearing upgraded turbos. It’s a smaller turbo, which keeps lag down, but I’ve heard reports of people making up to 1300rwhp with them. Though I’m not 100% sure, I believe the hellion lifetime warranty is on their stainless steel parts only.

Yeah I've got really quick at pulling everything off too. Had to do it way to much the last year with my engine fiasco!

I have the eboost2 in my vent with a boost switch by my shifter. Love it.

My whipple gen 3 ate itself and is beyond repair on my 2015 gt. I am weighing options of price vs performance.

I can get whipple gen 6, or hellion tt. I have considered on3 and I'd love to save some money but I was reading their kits aren't plug and play.

My car is a manual, sleeved motor etc... i mostly drive it on the street but I like being able to take it to the track occasionally. I was making 960rwhp on whipple gen 3 but it was hard to drive on the street as it wanted to blow the tires away. I dont have much experience with turbo is the reason I've been debating turbo. I like the idea of turning boost down on the street and turning it up at the track.

Id like to make around 1200rwhp on e85 proper tune, etc. Can anyone share experiences etc? I've been out of modding scene for a bit while I've been dealing with things so not sure what latest is. I know with black Friday around the corner salea should be coming and definitely looking to save where possible.
you can make power with any setup. really comes down to goals. they all can be fun, we have a turbo, 2 whipple and 3 vortech vehicles of ours in the shop.

your always welcome to give me a ring and we can go over your goals and help steer you in the right direction

I've got a brand new piece of information to add to the debate. Just passed my first emissions test with my hellion kit! No kitty's and no defoulers. All sensors on. Don't ask me how because I'm not sure but the o2s are happy.
Something in that basket is incompatible. Regardless of engine configuration, if you have the front and rear 02's installed and haven't turned off the code in the tune, it will instantly recognize an issue with catalytic efficiency and throw a code. So either it's turned off in the tune or the sensors aren't working. Most likely the tune because I'm pretty sure if either the upstream or down stream 02 sensor goes it it throws a code because it can't verify cat efficiency
