How much power do you want is the question.

Simple questions.

What are your goals and over all budget for those goals?

You said that you are aiming for 8s so hellion would help you accomplish your goal.

I'm aiming for 8s or close so ive settled that my motor will handle 1k I'll go for 1k on a race tune with e85 and then just see what i can do.

That said if whipple can get me there it may be easier/ cheaper route.

Im just trying to hear opinions of people running these systems so i hopefully don't pick the wrong combination.

Only 11.3 at 130 with traction issues on launch. Thats why im wondering if turbo would be better, less off the line hit but keep pulling after launch.

I like the way the whipple looks under the hood but someone was telling me whipples have all kinds of bearing failures and wont get me 1k rwhp without taxing the blower.

Im really interested in both kits, and this is going to cost a small fortune, but i want to do this right. So eager to hear real world opinions and use of both systems so i can hopefully make an intelligent system.

Either will let you accomplish your goal. Pros to the turbo. No belts. Pros to the whipple. You already have headers and don't need an intake or tb. Both are great choices. Both are 8 second capable at heavy weight. Both are 7 second potential at race weight

Get some track tires that hook would be step #1 and a Whipple after that

I have Hoosier slicks and skinnies on race star wheels 14pso cold. They weren't hooking.

I would do the twins. Less stress on the motor at that power level. More expensive, longer install...but if you're looking to do it "right" that's the way I'd go. Get the big 62s and call it a day.

I would order the Hellion with 62s. It will be much easier to hit your goals with that setup.

Is it me or do I see more failed engines with a TT setup than anything else? Heat issues etc....I just am not seeing anyone say anything at all bad with TT setups, even all the SC guys. Makes me wonder why anyone has an SC at all.............
