I'm really suprised how many people are upgrading to the 10 rib setup since Whipple uses such large SC pulley. I ran Kenne Bells on my fox with much smaller pulleys without much slip. I had a 2.5" pulley DD with a 6.85" crank on my 2.8L, and not much belt dust and no boost drop on my data logs. Shit anything near 3" to me was a wagon wheel and not problems with 6 rib belt.

It's not due to need, due to the looks and potential benefits. There are no skip issues with our setup.

Really it's mostly looks people are doing it? I agree it looks better, but that's a lot $$$ for looks. So the 6 rib has no belt slip issues with the 3.25-3.5" pullies?

No, it's not needed. Our stock belt setup is rock solid.

I ordered the 10 rib kit with the ATI 20% overdrive balancer. Wondering what kind of boost I will see with the 3.750 pulley and longtubes/3" exhaust. Anybody running this setup???

Are you running race gas? or built motor?
You might want to change that to the stock ATI balancer.

I followed the download instructions for the flare tool v1.6 and the dashboard that I have doesn't have the flight control software. The Whipple rep that I spoke with a few days ago told me if I followed the instructions for the flare tool, it would already be included in the software. Maybe I got a set of the old instructions in my kit?

It hasn't been released yet, hopefully shortly. Version 1.83 with a tune that supports it.
