Just picked up the car. Put 60 miles on it so far. No CEL. I'm still running the 3.75 pulley and don't get into boost all the time, so I'm hoping for no cat issues at all.
I know some folks are running the whipple tune with Kooks/green cats without a CEL. Did you use the O2 sensor wire extensions, too? My headers installer was concerned the wire extensions could cause inaccurate signals being sent to the ECU, possibly causing the computer to run the motor too...
I ordered a set of Kooks coated headers on March 11 and the rep said they were slated for delivery in April. I was wondering why I haven't received them yet.
I'm still monitoring this thread hoping one of the fixes works. I got one of the first shipments with the new stands and have had the loud chirp for nearly a year now. I want to fix it only once, lol
Just purchased Kooks with green cats. Going to leave the suitcase resonator in at first to get a baseline on volume and tone. Don't want the whole town to hear every time I go WOT to redline, lol
Still running the longer belt. I bought the kit Christmas 2015, just after they switched to the new stands. The belt had a constant whir for the first 2k miles, then it started chirping. Since the chirp goes away when the engine compartment gets fully heat soaked, I have just been living with...
I noticed mine chirps when the portion of the belt with the lettering on it goes around the supercharger pulley. Is that common with this issue? I haven't approached Whipple about getting the issue fixed until I see you guys have put a couple of thousand miles and report back that yours has...
Mine started making the same noise at around 2000 miles. I have 5000 miles now and the only thing that makes it go away is lots of heat in the engine compartment
I had a Magnaflow Competition axle back and upgraded to a Corsa Touring axle back. The Magnaflow sounded deep and smooth, but had some drone. The Corsa is just right. I live in a small town, so I don't want to advertise how fast I'm going at WOT :-)
