Thanks for the reply, I read a lot in a thread you posted in regarding tires for track events.
Even with the GT350 with a squared setup with 19x10 wheels would I need longer studs and spacers? Has 19x10.5 already so I was thinking I wouldn’t need to touch those.
Theoretically, a square setup with 10x19 ET37 rims will work front and rear on a GT350 provided that THE RIMS WILL FIT OVER THE BRAKES.

A lot of Most popular Mustang rims won't clear the GT350 front brakes. That includes OEM SVT rims. My winter driving kit is a square set of 19x9.5 ET44 rims that were OEM front fitment on the 2014 GT500 I used to own. That car had the biggest (380mm) front brakes ever put on an S197 by the factory, and even so, the OEM front rims won't clear the GT350 front brakes without a 15 mm spacer.

19x10 square will not require studs and spacers, assuming you get the correct offsets.
19x11 will require studs and spacers in the front only
From what I found the factory offset is 30mm, the steeda trident wheels are 37mm in the 19x10 size. I'm all for going to an aftermarket set as long as I can avoid spacers and stud replacements. I'm not looking to do anything like that at this point.

Vote for OEM set of wheels.
If I don't find aftermarket wheels that do not require studs / spacers then I'll do this instead.

I cant speak to all aftermarket wheels but many are simply built to a price point. Any new set of wheels, especially in 19" sizes that are under 2k are "usually" el cheapo for a reason. Traditionally, us Mustang guys go for the lowest price stuff - and many of these companies have built their foundation on that. My wifes 2001 Cobra has a $600 set of 18in cobra reps on it (that was probably 12 years ago so $600 was a little more money then) - the heaviest, crappiest wheel I've ever seen.

At least with OEM - even though they can be heavy, they are tested for OEM specifications so they should work with no issues for a long time. If you aren't a DE veteran, burn a few sets of tires on stock wheels first, you'll have just as much fun.

Here’s an interesting option for fitting 18” wheels.

midi what it is with this site..a guy on FB has calipers for sale that have been machined to fit with 18” wheels.

If I decided on doing anything it will definitely be 19" wheels. I don't want to have to retrofit anything for 18's. My 04 Cobra is pretty heavily modified with all kinds of things done to it to make things work and fit correctly and I absolutely do not want to go down that road with the Shelby. Anything that's not a direct fit is not happening.

I've been looking at OEM wheels and I think that will be the best option. I've found some with tires on them that are still useable for less than what a new wheel / tire set up will cost. Just not sure if I want to go ahead and do that now or hope to find a deal like that once I've done a few HPDE's

I have LMR 19x10 +35 and they fit without rubbing or poking. Those Steeda +37 wheels will be the same.

OEMs are quite heavy IIRC.

I'd go Apex.

We're in GT350 forum 😄
I guess Steeda folk will be in best position to comment on compatibility with GT350 brakes.

Apex wheels FTW. And btw, Apex are about the least expensive forged option out there. You just missed their group buy.

I searched for anything forged, for less price than Apex. I ended up back at Apex. I lost 6 lbs per corner on my car going to the VS-5RS, 19x11.5 square.

I'll look into the price of the Apex wheels and if they are not sustainably more than than a used OEM set up its definitely an option. I'm just not looking to spend a stupid amount of money on wheels when just starting out when getting better at driving on track would be much more beneficial than having a lighter set of wheels

Another vote for Apex - I added a set of the flow-formed SM-10 in 19x11 square last season and I'm waiting for a set of the new forged version for this season.

Existing ones are anthracite.....

The new ones on order are satin bronze and are another 4 lbs lighter than the current ones above....

yeah. Keep in mind any wheels you buy youll probably use for a few years. Consider the cost over the lifetime of use.
