  1. Nobody likes Mach 1's

They are nice … For what they are. You have to get one for the right reasons. You have to want that unrefined raw feel, cable driven clutch , cable throttle. Low tech built into it. I’m not bashing them but that’s what they are and what they offer as a platform. Mine may potentially be sold I’ll...
  2. Nobody likes Mach 1's

Eventually I’ll be moving out of this frozen hell hole. The Cobra is nice but other than straight line speed the GT350 is better in every other aspect every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
  3. Nobody likes Mach 1's

You want to talk about not getting noticed at shows? Try having a 2004 Terminator Cobra that's built and making 700 to the wheels with my build sheet info on the car and dyno sheet and losing out to 2012 GT's that have VIP accessories on them. I've seen a few Mach 1's in my area, one last...

Dealerships will not give out that info for who had the car before and I asked a sales person and the GM of the dealership mine came from and have not had any luck even when asking if my info could be passed along to who the previous owner was and leave it up to them to contact me. The GM was...
  5. Wheel options for HPDE events

Awesome thanks, I'll check those out and when the time comes for wanting to put on an extra set I'll decide what direction I'm going from there. I want to at least get one track day with how the car sits now before I dump the money into a wheel / tire set up. I know I'll most likely enjoy it and...
  6. Wheel options for HPDE events

What does steeda offer for a 19X10 wheel that clears the brakes and does not need spacers or wheel studs? This is a street car that I want to take to the track from time to time. Not a car I'm turning into a track car for its primary use. Altering things and adapting things to make other...
  7. Wheel options for HPDE events

    These would be doable https://www.apexraceparts.com/shop-by-vehicle/ford/s550-mustang/19x10-et40-apex-ec-7-mustang-wheel.html
  8. Wheel options for HPDE events

Currently the way my work schedule is unless I go to a M-F spot I'll probably only get in a few track days a year. At this point in time the cost is more of a factor than the weight. If I didn't have the Cobra and still putting money into that It wouldn't matter as much but balancing mods...
  9. Wheel options for HPDE events

I'll look into the price of the Apex wheels and if they are not sustainably more than than a used OEM set up its definitely an option. I'm just not looking to spend a stupid amount of money on wheels when just starting out when getting better at driving on track would be much more beneficial...
  10. Wheel options for HPDE events

If I decided on doing anything it will definitely be 19" wheels. I don't want to have to retrofit anything for 18's. My 04 Cobra is pretty heavily modified with all kinds of things done to it to make things work and fit correctly and I absolutely do not want to go down that road with the Shelby...
  11. Wheel options for HPDE events

From what I found the factory offset is 30mm, the steeda trident wheels are 37mm in the 19x10 size. I'm all for going to an aftermarket set as long as I can avoid spacers and stud replacements. I'm not looking to do anything like that at this point. If I don't find aftermarket wheels that do...
  12. Wheel options for HPDE events

Thanks for the reply, I read a lot in a thread you posted in regarding tires for track events. Even with the GT350 with a squared setup with 19x10 wheels would I need longer studs and spacers? Has 19x10.5 already so I was thinking I wouldn’t need to touch those.
  13. Wheel options for HPDE events

When I'm ready to pull the trigger on getting a set I'll be in touch. I'm still in the early research phase and want to get at least one event under my belt but I know I'll like it and want to keep going to more. Oh stock lugs is a big plus too

I like those Steeda Trident wheels
  15. Wheel options for HPDE events

    Thanks I'll check those out
  16. Wheel options for HPDE events

Noted. Didn't think of that. I run 18's on my Cobra but the rotors are not as big as on the GT350
  17. Wheel options for HPDE events

I’m not opposed to OEM wheels so that’s an option as well
  18. Wheel options for HPDE events

I just picked up my GT350 in March and have been looking at HPDE events to do around me this summer. Knowing I will probably like doing this a lot I figured going forward it would be best to have a dedicated wheel / tire set up for the track VS trying to dual purpose my OEM wheels and tires...
  19. Picking up a GT350 soon

    That's awesome congrats!
