Though this will likely get repealed as soon as the dementia patient is out of office, I think the days of lightweight V8 sports cars are near it's end (if not already there).
You want lightweight, hello turbo 4.
You want V8 power, hello 4,000-5,000 lb hybrid.
More caster will give you an increased self-centering effect (steering feels "heavier") and camber gain in the corners.
Generally*, more caster = more corning grip.
I'm hoping to get back to the track end of April. Haven't been since May 😔
Bought an investment property recently and it's been soaking up all our time.
Not a daily but I do take it to work maybe once a week and drive it to the track. The lumbar pad is necessary and if you're driving anything longer than 45 min, you'll need some padding for your butt too but otherwise, it's not terrible. The longer the drive, the worse it gets though. 3 hour...
This.
Especially with a car that will see 130mph in a turn.
My wife and I do the dealer maintenance route for her Explorer which isn't bad because they give us a loaner car for free but her car has been in the dealership for 2 months now. We've been chasing a noise that started around 50k...
The below was filmed from my roll bar-mounted GoPro but you can see my phone mounted to my dash. I use a RAM mount for the phone. I cannot for the life of me get suction cup mounts to stick so I use their glue-on mount stuck to the center dash trim piece. More of a permanent solution so I...
Your car seems pretty well setup already from Autox. You don't need anything. Go have fun!
You "may" have overheat issues but that's dependent on all sorts of variables and you won't know for sure if you have then issue until you drive the car.
As for your question about oil weights/viscosities....you want to run the thinnest oil you can get away with without overheating it. Start thin, if your temps get too high, go thicker next time.
If it helps, this is what I have been using for 5 years now in HPDE and Time Attack.
Engine: Mobil...
Test strips and moisture meters??? Leave it to the Mustang6G community to over-complicate everything.
Street car? - follow owner's manual.
Brakes feel soft? - change the fluid.
Track car? - flush once a year, bleed before every event.
In that case, I'd think anything in the 200-350tw range should be fine. To each their own, but I wouldn't be too concerned with "street grip" as it's very unlikely to even reach the grip limits of decent tires on streets (legally or otherwise). I'd almost want something with less dry grip to...
Is this to be a track tire that can handle water or just a street tire with good street grip that can handle water?
If you're looking for a jack-of-all-trades tire, it'll end up being pretty mediocre at everything. Unless I'm misunderstanding your post, I'd suggest getting two sets of tires. One...
There's nothing cheating about it.
Tax write-offs are legal. Owning multiple businesses is legal.
Say you bought a fast food chain franchise and continued to work your normal W2 job. Now you have two sources of income and all expenses related to the franchise are tax write-offs.
As hilarious as this thread is, I'd be fine if this turned into a financial planning thread.
An old mentor once told me "rich people don't pay taxes" - need to make an LLC to get as many tax write-offs as possible. Never going to reach financial freedom if a W-2 is the only source of income.
