I see some users doing these events. Do participating in this void your warranty? I know there are no winners and no times for your laps. So it seems like this is not considered racing. Throughout the manual it only mentions racing or competitive driving, which does not seem like it is since it is educational. I should be getting my GT350 track pack soon :)

No, your warranty is fine. It's likely the only way your track pack will see the track.

You can get track specific insurance for about $500 a weekend.

What if the worst happens and your engine goes. Will the warranty really cover that?

If it's obvious abuse, aka you shifted to second instead of fourth, no.

But if something randomly breaks, you're fine.

I feel like if something will break, it will be a Rod since these engines rev higher. Wonder what happens if that goes.

Amazing carnage when a rod lets go. Gives you some cool paperweights.

I have not heard of anyone being denied a warranty claim due to usage in a HPDE. So long as the car has been maintained properly (see checking oil levels) and has not been extensively modified (see engine tune or forced induction) you should be fine. Ford designed the GT350 specifically as a track-capable street car. And there is nowhere aside from a track that you can even begin to safely explore what this car is capable of. Enjoy your HPDE event. Try to find an event that has in-car instruction with certified instructors if you haven't already. Hooked on Driving, Chin Motorsports, Porsche Club, BMW Club, and some NASA regions have good reputations for offering safe, well-run events with good instructors.
