PITA install?
Actually it wasn’t too bad at all, I was building the car for track duty then I kind of lost interest in that so.. if you decide to do it don’t be stupid like me and toss the rear seat never know when or if you want them back lol

I do extensive research on all modifications, so luckily no regrets with any mods I’ve done. Only items to note, like many others, some of my Steeda coated parts are showing signs of flaking in some areas. The parts have been functionally great, no failures, just the coating on some corners.

To be fair, I had my tubular control arms coated the same Steeda color at a local powder coating shop, and they too are showing signs of flaking.

My only regret is I lowered the car with Steeda minimum drop springs with shocks & struts and have had a rattle on bumpy pavement ever since. Its fine on the highway and smooth pavement. Love the way the car sits and handles but the rattle😩

I feel like I regret my choice of the BL Fab turbo system (at the moment) because it’s been one huge headache. I’ve had to modify so much, in order to facilitate the install. It’s also an extremely expensive mod to do. I’m sure my thoughts may change once the install is complete, but that’s how I’m feeling at the moment.

Think long and hard about any mods that you may be considering OP and choose wisely.

There's a guy on FB who told me he spent almost $5k to modify his BL Fab turbo kit. Also had a 88mm BL Fab kit.

For me, the thing I say I regret is buying an AEM Infinity standalone ECU instead of going to a Fuel Tec when I had the chance. There are quite a few things I didn't anticipate that I would need to make it work properly. So, I do have a brand new AEM Infinity ECU that I am already half invested in that I do not want to fully complement because of support issues if I had a problem. So, if you know anyone who bricked their ECU and wants a new one, let me know. :)

Being an old school DSM guy, I am trained in meticulous research and planning for end goals for my projects from the very start, but I failed in this one...lol.

Mine was my air suspension. It's the only mod I've redone with other parts so far (Bilstein B6 + Steeda ultralites are what I'm on now).

There's metal on metal contact somewhere, get under there with a light and locate that rattle. I had a clanking noise over bumps in the rear, found my sway bar touching another part. In other words, go find it and be stress free again!

I had it in the shop when I had an alignment done recently and they said they couldn’t find anything…so they say🤷

Is that guy on here by chance? I don’t have FB, but would like to know more about what he did. Is it possible that you might be able to do some screen grabs from FB and post them here? Thanks

Fucking with my exhaust 10 different times. Taking it to a stupid muffler shop instead of being patient and going to the hot rod shop (that's expensive and takes weeks to get into)

1. Removed the stupid muffler delete axleback that was originally on the car
2. Replaced with the generic version of this (https://www.steeda.com/steeda-159-0003-mustang-axle-back-exhaust)
3. That sounded like shit so I bought GT500 mufflers
4. That was alright but wasn't quite the sound I wanted, so I had a shop put Dynomax Ultraflos in place of the imitation Flowmasters in the previous catback)
5. One side didn't line up right (cockeyed like 45 degrees) so I had a muffler shop 'fix' it instead of just going back to the original shop
6. Muffler shop tack welded the fucking axle back to the catback so I had to cut shit up to get it all off
7. Bought a DNA motoring 3" catback. The clamps were ass and the mufflers had zero packing, sounded like complete shit (actually very similar to Borla ATAK)
8. Went back to the stupid muffler shop and had them put the Dynomaxes back on to the DNA motoring catback. This time they welded the catback to my $$$ Kooks X pipe
9. That sounded better but it was raspy as shit since the stock catback had resonators. Went to a different muffler shop and had them put 3" bullet resonators on.
10. Switched the Kooks X pipe out with an H pipe

I should have just paid the $$ for a Magnaflow catback right at the beginning.

That’s funny because I started with Magnaflow and hated it. After 5 iterations I love it and Magnaflow is long gone.

Yea, that's possible. I just want my Coyote to sound like my Cobra did...

So far, no regrets. I am about to install new Mcleod RXT twin disc ceramic clutch and the Claimer stage 2 transmission. I don't anticipate any problems with the project. Soif things go well I am sure that I won't regret that either.

Not on my current cars, but I will never buy another drone ridden, boomy, ridiculous exhaust ever again. Thank goodness for Thermal R&D catbacks on this platform.

I have steeda's softer, red polyurethane diff bushing inserts, steeda's polyurethane rear subframe bushing inserts, and the stock exhaust. The whine is very subtle even with the stereo off and it only happens in certain situations. It doesn't bother me or my wife. I do hear the torsen action loud and clear when applying throttle and making sharp turns or even when making wider turns (like making a left turn at a big intersection) and applying heavy power. I'm running BG ultra-guard LS 75W-85 with no additional friction modifier (it's unclear to me if the oil has friction modifiers in it already). I think the main reason mine is pretty quiet is because I have not solidly attached the subframe to the frame. And I noticed a significant improvement in handling when adding the subframe bushing inserts on my 40,000 mile, 11 year old car.
Same here except I did full polyurethane inserts in the differential, not the inserts. The noise transmitted from the rear end makes it racecar like which I knew was the trade-off prior to install.
