Keep us posted how it all works out. I myself am torn between both tuners.
Read this:

I wouldn't go with Wengerd personally.

I don't like throwing shade at people but that's my opinion. He couldn't tune my JLT intake and Lund could, I don't know why, he said the intake was the problem, Lund said the intake was fine, it had a small leak but it didn't affect fuel trims. Fuel trims were 60%+.

With the Wengerd tune, I also had shifting issues. When using my paddle shifters from 3rd - 4th gear the car would skip 4th and automatically go into 5th. This was an issue Lund was able to fix once I told them about it.

His response times are fast I will give him that. I haven't posted much publicly about it because I don't like the situation in general.

If you want the best N/A performance, especially for the 10r80 go with Tricky Performance. All the hardcore coyote n/a guys suck their nuts, and I assume for good reason.

I added the No Lift Shift when I purchased the tune. I had to remind him about it cause he forgot. Wonder how many revisions that will require. I don't have much faith in it the way things are going.
Tuners are a struggle lmao. Just keep sending emails.

To be honest it seems like i have long wait times also 4or 5 days until i get any response on tunes i guess i shouldve went with wengerd and i wouldve been fully tuned already but i hope its worth the wait
That sucks. Why did you initially decide to go with them?

I know this is a debate and review of Ortiz/Wengerd performance but I can attest to Shaun @ AED . He has been very responsive and helpful in tuning my NA 21 GT on 93, FlexFuel and E85. I had what appeared to be an exhaust leak which he identified and was able to find out was just a loose O2 sensor. Incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He gets back to you same day or next in most cases. Even answers the phone/calls you back to answer all your questions!
The phone calls sounds like a huge plus. I have grown to hate emailing tuners.

Im new to the mustang world and it seems like who is the best tuner etc is a popular question but after reading so many threads on here is obviously subjective. Some have good experiences some have bad ones. I tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt since there are just some folks that are never satisfied. With that being said I already had my 1st bad experience with a “reputable” tuning company, decided to go with Ortiz Performance to tune my gt350 so will see how it goes.

Very familiar. My first three files would barely run.

It wasn't an issue with the tuning because after a week I never received one. The issue I had was with the customer service reps who answered the two calls I placed. They pretty much contradicted themselves and i got the infamous “i dont know why he would tell you that” response. I just ended up canceling the tune order.

Yeah I been reading about the long time they taking to get tunes or revisions. Obviously I would see that after placing the order. Now Im scared I get a tune that my car wont even start lol

LTH and AWE catback. 0 issues with @Wengerd Performance tune.
How's the A10 transmission feeling on the Wengerd tune? Is it much different?

Shaun at AED and Daryl at Wengerd have both been really responsive to my emails and I'm planning on pulling the trigger within a week or two for 91, E85, 100 and flex tune.

I just thought I'd toss this out here.

@tdstuart You sent me the logs of the JLT intake. It had a massive leak. I would not have added more fuel from the MAF either. That does work but is not a proper way to tune.

Unless you fixed the leak all Lund could have done is increase the MAF fueling to fool the car into thinking it has no leak. He also could have added fuel from the injectors. Again a band aid.

When I ran the calculations from the MAF readings Wengerd had added 20% to the MAF, is what I remember, and the logs were still 30% lean.

I never saw the Lund logs, I'd like to just to see what he did.

I have no affiliation with Wengerd

Thats correct we even added up to 30 percent above our maf data we have calibrated for the JLT and used hundreds of times. Still very lean. After that we will not keep adding as there is a underlying issue and that completely throws off the load.

He chose to keep trying to race it anyways even with this condition for some strange reason. We also have all the logs to back this up. Last i seen he was posting up disapointed in his 9 sec 60-130 on his new tuners tune.

Going to spend all that money on a built engine and cheap out on a leaky intake. Sounds logical to me.
