Is this purely for aesthetics or is there any performance goal?
GT500 hood probably provides a bit of aero and improved cooling through the hood vents/louvers.
I've thought about this a lot and it enitrely depends on budget and goals. I had been starting to ascribe to the ideology of slow car fast until...
At one of my recent track days, I was in the paddock right after a session and an older dude in a race suit walks up to me and tells me "you were...
2018-2021ish 10r80 were hit or miss, the 10r80 had a minor update in 2021 that made them run smoother and more reliably.
My 2018 10r80 was a clunky mess from factory, and progressively got worse over time. After a dozen+ dealer visits across 5 years and multiple different dealers, the...
For transmission fluid, I always go by the rule of half of whatever manufacturer says, so instead of 150K miles I would do 75K miles or so. If you drive the car hard, or track it, then I would do it even more often.
I track my car 6-8 times per year, so I change my fluid every 25-30K miles...
This is super interesting to hear - I have been weary of 315 size tires because of potential rubbing issues. I have a magneride GT PP1, and am moving to 19x11 ET50 wheels on -3F camber.
Do you know how close you are to rubbing with your 11.5's?
I have these and they are awesome - the 240F/850R rates on these suit magneride mustangs well, and is actually a touch more optimized than what GT350R and Mach1 HP come with.
Good luck with sale!
FWIW - I used Adams Ceramic wheel coating kit on my gloss black SVE SP2 and it came with everything I needed to properly apply. They have instructions that are easy to follow for my first time using. The UV light helped me check for coverage and/or high spots to level down with the included...
I agree, and have done the same with the OEM paddles. I'll hold final judgement until I have more time with them and test them on track.
Mine are TDD branded - got them off Aliexpress, Alibaba or Ebay. Don't remember exactly as it was over a year ago.
They're probably all coming from the same...
heh a good comparison between OEM paddles to the magnetic ones would be like going from low profile laptop keyboard to cherry mx blues/browns.
I’m on cherry red equivalents now but for many years on blues, browns and greens to the dismay of others around me LOL
I’ll share an official review...
I installed the magentic paddle shifters and so far I really like them - I'll see if I regret it in the future. I'm hoping that the chinesium components don't fail or that the clicky clack doesn't become too cliche!
I only use the paddles for track driving anyways, so it will probably serve...
You know, its funny you mention the springs and gaps. I have the same issue with Ford performance M-5300-W springs side to side, corner to corner. I read that ford build the cars with loose tolerances that will allow that kind of variablity - I even put in subframe alignment dowels and it's...
