So this is one of the reasons I joined this group. I have a 2017 Mustang GT Premium and right above the windshield on both the passenger and drivers side there is a hairline crack in the welds. When it rains, water will runs down inside the plastic pillar covers and inside the trim on the side and pool on the floor board. My main question is has anyone else seen this and how did Ford address it? I can only assume to properly fix this, it would cost a small fortune given everything that would have to be removed and repainted

I would get hold of some clear seam sealer, apply when it’s completely dry, then get some touch up paint and go over the seam sealer after it’s cured.

By chance was the windshield replaced? It is possible that the installer didn't get it right.

Known failure point. In the olden days, lead fill it, shape and paint. Do by you, or...

Old enough for no warranty, take it to a "Reputable Body Shop" for a guesstimate.

Windshield has never been replaced. I thought about just covering them because they are so thin, but worry about them splitting more. I’ve also had horrible luck getting repairs done to the exterior of vehicles and given the extent of stuff to be done to fix it right, I’d rather look at other options, like sealing it.

Not to beat you while you're down, but your car (and every other S550 Mustang) probably has the same cracks at the rear glass upper corners as well. The chassis isn't stiff, and combined with subpar filler materials, the car twists from the engine torque and the cracks form. My 2018 had the hairline cracks at the back when it was less than a year old. Ford quality. I'd check and fix those as well.

Paint and corrosion warranty is 5yr/60k mileage. What you are showing is a m manufacturing defect that should be covered as long as the Service Center not only confirms the leaks, but also sends hi-res images to Ford to get the approval for repair.

This isn't new and seems to be more of a problem at the back window on some S550's than the front.

Here's some helpful threads below for your review.

This is specific to the A-Pillar, but not sure it's the body seam, as it seems to be addressing water intrusion lower than the roof:

Check this thread regarding the rear window channel seam cracking and paint delaminating issue - similar to the front roof channel seam issue. Some M6G members are having severe cracking at the rear window channels, not many at the front. This one is the most complete with M6G owners experiencing severe cracking at the rear window channels:
