Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

Just talked with the service manager and was advised that the ring and pinion will be changed on Monday. I questioned him as to how this was determined. He told me that the Ford Rep claimed they have changed 17 in the area (Illinois) so far and that this has solved the issue.

This is strictly a wait and see proposition as far as I am concerned.

^^^ Humm, so it seems this vibration issue goes across all models, not dependent on what rear end gears or type of differential (Torsen in the GT PP), which seems kind of strange. If it is caused by the differential gears, then why is it across all models and differentials?

It will be interesting to see if guys here getting this fix done actually see a difference.

Makes sense why my car 3.73 did it earlier where a 3.31 car did it later. Now if ford would put out a TSB

Flyboy34....Just how this R&P causes vibrations and no filings or damage in the diff case is beyond me! You will have to ask the service people EXACTLY what is going on....we all need and deserve a cause & effect explanation!!

Well, I just don't know about my GT Premium with the automatic. Seems like it is Jeckle and Hyde with this vibration. Thought I could live with it but it starting to bug me. I finally made a service appointment to get her checked out this coming week. Thanks to all .... I'll have them check the wheel balance, drive shaft and pinion gearing....wish me luck.

Also have them check the half shafts as well.

If 17 has been changed due to the same issue, how is this not being seen at a higher level? How many does it take for a TSB?

You can add me to the list of people having this issue. My dealer told me that "its the tires" or "thats the way the car feels due to its sportiness". I dont think a constant shake @ 50-60 is "normal". I PM'd FordService, hopefully they can set me in the right direction.

I would also like to thank everybody here for posting, as I thought it was just me at first.

Ford is going to replace the driveshaft again and the left and right half shafts. Should be done by Monday. We'll see.
Thanks for the update, Blacklaw.

Mine tried telling me it was the tires as well after the driveshafts were replaced. I paid $800 for a new set of tires and it didn't help a thing. I'm still aggravated about that, lol.

The statisticians, bean counters and lawyers will argue that number for quite a while. Until then, Ford will grease the squeeky wheels...

Further update....two drive shafts and left and right half shafts later, no change.Ford wants to replace the whole differential. Once this occurs we will be at 22 days out of service. 8 more days and it is a lemon. Becoming very frustrating.

Added: Spoke to the service manager at the dealer this afternoon. He was very honest about the fact that they really have no experience with the mechanics of the 2015 and Ford is finding this to be an issue. At this point, they have rebuilt just about everything in the driveline. Only thing left is the differential. Juben, you might be on to something here.
