Tables 3439 and 3440 are swapped. The starting table is for cranking and it immediately switches to CSER once it fires. You can tell they’re swapped because the CSER table row axis shows “starting events” which means it’s really the Starting table. The one to modify to fix e85 flex cold idle is 3440 and I’ve found 40% to work well as a max here.
Awesome thank you so much, I bookmarked this for the future when I inevitably forget this.

Did you find that all you needed to do was change the 10% cells to 40% or did you need to rescale everything less than 100% to maintain the same surface shape?

No, the opposite. Anything higher than 40%, lower to 40%.

I don't believe the Gen2 and 3 are that different in purge times. The fuel filter, line, and rails are way more volume than the GDI pump and tiny GDI rails. I do have my blend always running 10% or higher so that they'll purge as well, though.

I'm playing around with PCMTech and finding a large quantity more parameters than HPT has defined. The refill threshold, for instance, is handled much differently than the dumb single 10% value that's defined in HPT. If you're in the middle of the a/f ratio span, you have to basically fill it up to trigger a re-learn if I'm understanding this right. At the top and bottom end, it takes less fuel to trigger a re-learn.

Just thought I’d leave this here. This wasn’t on their site a couple days ago.

For the record, this isn’t the full “workshop” level suite, so the custom OS isn’t supported, but for $100 it might be worth it to see the parameters available. Plus it still gives the ability to upgrade later if you want to spend the coin.

I’m in no way affiliated with PCMTEC, I’m just really interested in their platform.

Edit to add: Just heard back from PCMTEC. Currently still no plans to offer a single car workshop level package. So if you want the custom OS the ~$2000 full workshop package is the only option for now with no public plans to offer the single car version anytime soon. I am optimistic seeing as they’ve just made the ProTuner package available that I linked above so I guess time will tell.
I've been playing with this today and I'm absolutely floored at the number of parameters defined by PCMTech that aren't in HPTuners. Stuff I really needed, in some cases. They do have the Starting and CSER blend defined correctly, BTW.

You'll never get the full meal deal with HP tuners. PT must have made a copy of Ford Australia's key.

Just picked it up. Hope my dongle works.
Now I want to drive to the shop and give it a try.

Wow, this is going to take some time to learn. So many more parameters.

I hope the trans parameters I want are here.

@stang17 is he using PCMTEC to flash a Whipple os? If so what version of PCMTEC ($100 or $2000)?
We purchased a workshop account a while back as we were under the assumption we would be able to do multi tune ourselves. However, PCMtec still hasn't made it available to everyone other than a few select workshop accounts such as Lund, etc. I reached out to Lund shortly after the announcement about canbus flex, but was advised they don't have an offering yet.

The PCMtec was able to read several tuner locked tunes as well as the whipple OS that was previously read with HP tuners MPVI. However, just like HP Tuners, PCMtec was unable to access the entire Whipple file.

Maybe not a popular thought, but if the car can learn at idle…. Can you fill the tank at idle and possibly be a little more accurate???

Asking for a friend…

They don't have any FRPP or Roush tunes. I really wanted to see a clean FRPP 3 file.
