Haha. He sizes it like that (of course it’s in the inside at the end). That guy has tinted every one of my vehicles since 2008.
i figured 😁

I’d say what is your main goal? Sun intrusion? Or looks for the car? For me serious tinting is a safety issue. I’d go with the moderate tint.

When I bought my car it was 15 all the way around. You couldnt even see inside and night was terrible. Didnt want to be cop bait, so I changed the side windows to 20 ceramic. Doesn't sound like much but it's way better. It's still a tad dark at night but daytime is perfect. The next grade up is 30 which I think is too light.

Thankfully dark tint is pretty common and seldom inforced in Arizona. If I were to get pulled over, I'd just make sure I roll down both widows before they come to the door.

I did 35% around and 70% on the windshield which makes the 35% look a little darker (imo)
No issues with cops or visibility.

20% ceramic on all except for the windshield gets none. Done 20% on every vehicle I have ever owned but 1.

Yo can do 70% ceramic windshield, it’s very very light and help with the heat.

I did ceramic 5% on sides back and then 50% on front. No issues with cops and I have been pulled over by the state. Night driving only issues are in the rural area I might have to lower a side window to see to make a turn.

I'm another vote for 20%, I found something was needed just from the glare coming off the mirrors with all the uber bright LEDs on the crossovers now they end up at the perfect height. Never been bothered in MI for it and any tint outside of the back glass is a no-no. Admittedly I do have to rely on the backup camera at night or roll down my windows.

Scrolled through this entire thread. I can see some of the quarter windows look like mine and others don't. Can't tell if it's the angle or lighting.

Does everyone's tint job on the quarter window look like this? The rear window has the same dimples/stippling and they are hidden by the tint.

I was hoping as the tint cured these lines would go away but they haven't.

My car is in storage right now, but pretty sure it’s like yours. I think they need to stay away from that “dot matrix” area; dont think the tint wouldn’t have issues otherwise unfortunately

Window is a bit dirty but here’s mine. 20%. The tint is behind the dot matrix area so it won’t cover it up unfortunately. You could do a window decal on the exterior of the window to cover it. I had one on my prior S550 (also pictured)

Thanks for the replies. Guess my OCD will have to live with it.

Yes. I have that on my 5%. Never really noticed until you said something and I went out to check. You can see it on my car in the pictures above.
