So when I picked my vehicle up last year it was already tinted. I'm not sure what tint everything has. I know I can ask a shop to check it to see where its at.

My main issue is with the rear window. When I picked the car up there was one tiny bubble in the rear. Now there are around 20 bubbles that are starting to grow in size. From what I understand with tinting, it basically shows how well the shop did at cleaning the window before tint was applied. Well it looked great at first but its getting worse day by day.

I'm just curious what kind of cost I should expect for having it replaced? Some small spots on the driver and passenger side window have showed up, but i didn't notice those until I waxed it last week.

Unfortunately the cost can vary quite a bit. Depending on your location, the area might be more expensive. The product you choose will be the biggest impact. And, the cost of removal can vary.
Do your research, call around, check reviews, and at car shows as folks who they used, and find out if they are happy with the work and product.

FWIW, my wife's Fusion did the same thing. The shop we used charged a bit more than $450 if memory serves. We had an above mid grade film put on but not their most expensive. That price included removal and install of rear window, 4 doors and the windshield. The windshield is in a very light tint and mostly for UV protection.
You might save some money by removing the existing tint yourself if they charge for removal. It's not terribly difficult getting it off. The cleaning can be a pain though.

Yeah i have read some on removal, with steam and other things, but its the rear window. It was decent when I purchased the vehicle, but you can tell they didn't clean it completely when they put it on. The rear quarters look perfect, but now I'm starting to notice some small inconsistencies with the side windows.

Just bought my 2020, and the rear window tint was bubbled up. Dealer fixed it. Price is probably gonna be $150-200 to re-tint it.

If the rear window wasn’t properly cleaned and applied, assume the same for all the windows. My tint was around $400 for the 2 front windows, 2 quarter windows and the rear windshield. That’s the ceramic tint as well

I don't know what happened the last time I had tint removed but the shop struggled hard even baking it off.

But they didn't charge more than the initial quote, so I didn't dwell on it much 😂

using a mid grade 3M tint on 2 fronts, two quarterlets and a rear.

300-400 give or take. at a small independent shop.

500-600 give or take at more commerical style shop.

I look for small independent shops, 2-3 employees and a shitty website. I usually get the best prices and better outcome (smaller newer shops want to grow, so they often price very competitive if not cheaper. They usually have more time to dedicate to a customer. Focusing more on quality and not quantity.

Plus small local shop is how I network the car "vibe" of an area.

Pricing can vary on many factors. I can't speak to doing the rear window, but I would advise to seek out a locally-owned business.

I've noticed several chain shops pop-up in my area, their work only a few phone swipes away. They give off the energy of the 5 minute oil change sites: poor materials and nothing I would consider craftsmanship.

I had to have mine redone on my 22 GT, there was too much trash under the tint, had it done in NC by a shop I used when I lived there. Shop here in TN charged me 100 to remove the tint and another 100 to re install... Prices can vary by region for sure, and the material used. I elected for just a standard carbon tint on that car. But I did ceramic on my Mach 1, that cost me 250 for all rear windows and both doors. 20% ceramic. And the shop I used is a high volume shop, one of if not the best in the area I live..

That's what my thought was about it not being cleaned properly. The quarters look fine, but i did notice some tiny spots on the driver side and passenger side that are starting to pop up.

That seems like one hell of a deal. There are two shops around me that have been around since I was in high-school, so 25 some years. I think they offer a lifetime warranty on their work so that may be my best option.

Yeah these guys are amazing, VERY high volume shop, and lifetime warranty as well. They specialize in PPF and wraps, those are EXPENSIVE, so I guess they give the lowly window tint people a break  ... They did the whole windshield on my daily driver a while back when I had the glass replaced and it cost $200... Was in and out in less than an hour and a half..

When I bought my car, the rear window and two rear sides were tinted. I wanted to tint the door windows to match but they couldn't guarantee the match. They charged $150 to remove what was there and then $300 for ceramic tint for the doors and rear.

I didn't even think of that possibility of the tint not matching. I guess it makes sense with different brands of film and such. I guess that's another question I'll have to ask when I swing down for a quote
