Should be warranty. I did Kavaka Ceramic IR can't even see the edges anywhere and no issues with rear defrost, bubbling etc.

We got the Mustang almost two months ago. The rear window nor the two side quarter windows were tinted. The shop I went to put a meter on the side windows which were darker percentage wise than they looked. He matched the tint for the side quarter windows and put a little lighter on the rear window. It was $130.

I have never had a problem with tint and using the rear window defogger. Every vehicle I have owned has had been tinted. 40 plus years worth. I used to live in Canada, so lots of use up there. Use a quality tint and a quality shop.
Every time I see a vehicle with tint bubbling , I cringe.

Yeah i wasn't sure if that would affect it, but i haven't used my rear window defrost. Car gets garaged in the winter so ive never had to use it. I think it was a bad application.
