Recieved this via snail mail as well for my ‘16. My camera has always worked fine, so i figured it had been done already with the harness swap. Guess just one of the lucky ones 🙃
55 here, first Mustang ever. I was a Chevy guy my entire life (Don’t hate me 😁) but i truly LOVE this car. Only a GT, but i’ve gotten it up to just under 500hp n/a with the common bolt-ons. Couldn’t be happier. Born again convert Motorcraft 💪🏻
How many miles on the car? I only ask, because as stated above, fuel pump is fairly inexpensive, and honestly the easiest fuel pump i have ever changed lifetime. (I’ve done some nightmare pumps too) Just make sure you are well below 1/4 tank. With the lockring tool it’s literally a less than...
Did you need any adhesion promoter? I’d like to try something like this with an extra panel that i have as well…..my painting skills are a little sub-par, and i’d be afraid it would start to chip easily if i got involved 🫠
Haha no, he just liked his cars, wasn’t even able to find some of the photos of the rest. He eas obviously mostly a Chevy guy, as i always was as well. Until i grabbed my first, current, and awesome Motorcraft product. While not a ‘70, as i know it’s actually a completely different A...
I wouldn’t rule out spark plugs or coil packs either, if they have any age to them. You didn’t specifically mention if it felt like it was misfiring per se, but at that RPM, i would expect the load to be higher on the coil packs, and one or even more than one could be experiencing voltage leak...
Have you hooked up a scan tool or similar to check things like TPS, throttle angle and the such? Could be a bunch of different things, but that is where my brain would lead me, at least as a starting point. Grab some live data if possible 🫡
I would also suspect there might be an issue with the amp. It could just have an internal solid state malfunction, causing a constant draw showing no external indication of such. Pull and cap the remote lead and positive lead for a few days. Assuming something hasn’t already damaged your new...
Motul DCTF in my ‘16, no complaints. Added a Barton hybrid shifter at the same time, so no real input on difference the fluid change had, but nothing negative to add 👍🏻
Honestly, being GM, and in that age range, you can probably ohm out the chip on the key (assuming it is acessible) and then purchase a matching resistor, at which point you should be able to look at the wires leading up the steering column, iirc finding two yellow wires. Just make sure they...
Sounds like you are right about where you need to be, but you could always use the chalk trick across the width of the treads to find yourself the perfect psi for full treadwith grip. But honestly 28-32 should be just about right as long as the tires are the correct width for the rims that you...
Nice bracket indeed! I have been playing the “nope” game and have been ok so far. I have my front plate still attached to its bracket (which mounted under the front lip) in my spare tire well to try out the “it just got ripped off on a speed bump” angle, should i ever get pulled over and get a...
Just paid $1200 for my Indy 500’s back in April. Can’t personally speak for longetivity yet, lucky if they have 1000mi on them yet. But they feel great and grab pretty good; happy with my choice 👍🏻
