I just had mine done in south ATL...Ceramic is definitely worth the extra. Really, not that much more...I think it was $30 less to do non-ceramic.

with a steel metal roof?I have tinted ceramic on the back and sides of mine and clear ceramic on the front. My car stays amazingly cool when parked outside during the summer. Absolutely worth it.
The detailing shop I partnered with had a demo involving a heat lamp and different types of tint. There was a marked difference between materials which blocked light and those which blocked light and UV rays.if it was a real gain, this test would have already be in the sales pitch.
About as real as the replacement window, displays I'm sure. The detailing shop I partnered with had a demo involving a heat lamp and different types of tint. There was a marked difference between materials which blocked light and those which blocked light and UV rays.
So did you join this thread for the sole purpose to pissing off everyone on here that has ceramic tint? If you did, I believe you succeeded. Do all of us a favor and move on to a thread where you may have some actual knowledge.with a steel metal roof?
I'd need to see a side by side test of same car one with basic tint and one with the ceramic and nothing done to the painted surfaces, same cars and time in the sun side by side.
Ithink it is all in your head.

Hardly, but I'd like to see a side by side test.So did you join this thread for the sole purpose to pissing off everyone on here that has ceramic tint? If you did, I believe you succeeded. Do all of us a favor and move on to a thread where you may have some actual knowledge.
It really depends, If you get carbon or IR top tier films you will be ok, All my cars except my personal cars have ceramic, I wear polarized glasses and hate ceramic tint as it looks like your looking out of a oil stained glass if wearing glasses. If you do not wear polarized or care than ceramic is by far the best but there are very close options. Is ceramic worth the extra? I'm in the Southern US, it gets hot in the summer and it's supposed to be hot today as well. I am fair skinned and burn easily if that makes any difference. I've always had the "standard" (inexpensive) tint on other cars but wondering if ceramic is "really" worth the additional cost?
