^^^ That. In my country it gets extremely hot and humid in the summer and the cp-e does a fantastic job in dicreasing CAT fast once the car moves. Indeed, when I am stuck in traffic and it's hot outside, I see 135+ degrees, but the temperature goes down very fast when I start moving.

What I have observed since I installed the updated FMIC, is that the car is not influenced that much by high ambient temperatures (even when they reach 107 degrees). Now, the fact that I do not push the car hard at these temperatures is a personal choice. We have to remember that it's a turbocharged car and turbo doesn't like high temperatures...

Yeah the CPE is struggling with the humid heat. I generally sit around 135° in the city and on the highway it cools down pretty good and is generally around 10° above ambient. Yeah I should've gone bigger in my opinion but this one still works way better then stock.
Thanks for the info. It's been super hot here, I wonder how much better. I wanted to reduce weight but think I'll just get an ETS IC.

The ETS is a nice unit but I didn't care for the end tanks

I just swapped out a Mishimoto IC for a Mountune unit.
Pretty comparable in size, Mountune is 9 lbs lighter than the Mishi.
Will post some comparative cooling numbers when I give it a shakedown.
Also, the Mountune was $299 shipped, I couldn't resist. They had some awesome products for my ST, hopefully they step it up for the Mustang.

Very interested in this test. They seem to make great parts for the focus.

I am also interested to hear how that Mountune IC performs

Another. Mountune has the integrated mounting bracket.

This will be an interesting comparison for sure! Curious to see first hand impressions and cooling differences at that price point.

Hmm. That is very interesting with the Mountune intercooler. Makes me wonder if it is worth a shot.

Ok, just got back from a shakedown run with the new Mountune IC.
I was out for 3 hours, 90 degrees ambient with mixed street and highway driving.

In a nutshell, this intercooler provides a dead on even match with the Mishimoto.
I observed intake temp, compressor outlet temp, and charge air temp.
Pretty much a dead heat. And I'll say that I think the Mountune sheds heat a bit faster than the Mishi after sitting in heavy traffic.

Typical AP readings at 70 mph
Ambient= 90
Intake air= 99
Compressor outlet= 145
Charge air= 108

Money well spent if anyone is looking for an upgrade.

Now to sell the Mishi IC..........

did you do back to back to back pulls? How consistent is the power? Design wise, the mishimoto should out perform the mountune
