Sunvisor Decal removal

If you guys are as bothered as I am about the ugly sun visor decals here is how to easily remove them. (1st) Take your time. (2nd) Slowly heat the sun visor decal with a Blow Dryer not the visor just the decal. (3) Using a pair of tweezers carefully peel the decal away from the visor keep the heat on the decal surface and the decal just lifts off. (4) Use a little Goo Gone to remove any left over adhesive.

PS: I hated looking at them each time I got into the car. Then I remembered that you use a hair dryer to remove the emblems off your car. I bet you could remove the decals the same way and now the car looks like it should. Here you go! As a side note Total Cost for this mod Approximately $.05 for electricity and 15 minutes of your time.

If you want to leave them on for resale purposes, buy these. I had them on my 15' EB and on my 19'GT/CS. Work great. You don't even know that they are there.

There was an old thread going back to 2015 about this. Most at that time found it quite difficult to get them off cleanly. The covers were thought to be the best alternative at the time. I found the ones I listed to be very good.

I looked at Zombie's when I was buying my 15'. His covers are vinyl. The one from sunvisorsolutions are a material similar to the visor itself. They are $3.00 cheaper. Nothing wrong with them. Good choices either way.

I can highly recommend Sun Visor Solutions. They have pre cut pieces as well as sheets you can cut yourself. I have them on everything I own!

Yeah, I just put a black decal over the decal. I’m super impressed the OP managed to peel them off tho, I balked at attempting that mod.

+1 for Zombie's Sticker Shack. They have worked great for a couple of years for me. I keep my visors pressed to the windshield, so the factory sticker would always show. I hated it. Installed the covers and I've been happy ever since.

They come off when new quite easily :

Initial clean up (goo gone), it was only really noticeable in bright direct sunlight :

I take it you've removed the sun visors for the soak part. Are they difficult to remove and reinstall? Any risk of breaking a plastic clip or something?
