Except it is the only part of the car you actual touch (with your hands) when you're driving it. Besides, it's a Mustang. If you're not modifying it, go buy a Prius.

That's moronic, real sure you'll be the Prius owner, driver way before myself, cause that's a never here pal.

Now reasoned observations.

How about you and the parrots list some advantages after replacing the steering wheel?

I will start with the nothing...
1. Turns car L&R mod changes that ?
adds to the L&R steer?
2. Driver control interface,
does the upgrade/mod change it.... has lighted LEDs ..?..LMAO
DAMN, ran out of what could a steering wheel improve on ..

Oh ! There is that red ring to tell a driver his wheels are straight.

Weird. My 7 year old wheel still looks better than new.
The wheel on my '15 is looking like its at the end of life. The worn areas from 10 to 2 o clock feel very rough and the "leather" is no longer flat and smooth. I'll post pics later

Cut those fingernails and rotate your cruising resting locations occasionally. :)

To address your list, the aesthetics and feel of the wheel is why I did it. Same reason some folks paint flames on their cars. Does that make it go faster or add any tangible benefit? No.

Here's my 90 year old car that has not required a steering wheel replacement or flames or bigger wheels and tires…. It still goes from a to b.

Insert pot & kettle.jpeg here.

Good day.

One of the best changes i have made , the tactile feel is now much nicer and it looks like it belongs. Unless you have never done this you don't know what you are missing . Done thsi to many cars since my teens and it's amazing how it transforms the feel of a car. As they say , don't knock it till you've tried it.

Why do so many feel the need to alter their perfectly good functional steering wheel???
cause the stock wheel is tiny, feels like cheap shit and looks just about the same.

Maybe folks can post a pic of their hands on the wheel? My guess that influences whether you like the stocker or like/dis the slippery material on 30x vs slightly grippier feel of 40x.

Not true!
the flat bottom makes it much easier to steer the car with my thigh while texting and drinking a Red Bull.

That's a nice looking wheel.

This is one of those things that I haven't really looked at... but it does look great! Bet it feels way nicer than the stocker.

Where did you purchase from (sorry if I missed it)? I'd have to do something custom that matches the ceramic interior I have - different strip and stitching maybe.

Sticker shock though I would think..

How was the install itself?
Could be a Beith (https://beithperformanceparts.com/) maybe? I think they even make a GT350 style one with the heated function.

Also curious what the OP's one is.

I don't know about the OP's wheel, but I got this one from ebay for half the cost of a Beith:

I found the OEM wheel to be too skinny for my meat paws.
This one feels and looks perfect. Handmade to order.
$399 U.S. plus $20 for shipping. Link to ebay: cfautomotor
You buy one of their wheels for your model/year car and they will ask how you want it customized. Heated option is $100 more.
