I like that design with the perforated leather around the top grip area with CF inset. Who makes that one?

I was told from Steeda it is one of their Australian vendors that constructed this steering wheel. There is a Youtube video on Steeda's channel when I went to see the car being built. There are indentations in the steering when to keep your fingers locked in. I love driving the car, but unfortunately, I only have 900 miles on it and it is yet to be broken in.

I was shopping for steering wheel upgrade last few weeks.

If I wanted CF I'd buy from CN / eBay. Based on USA seller lead times 4-8 weeks, it seems it's all CN anyway. The quality looks good ...check reviews and return policy though

Since I needed heat, only leather,and Ford OE core, I bought a used heated Ford wheel. Now in transit to a local UA steering wheel master I discovered two days ago, recommended by local private ultra exotics shop I trust, who said his work was amazing.

Went there yesterday, picked the leather and perforation (steering wheel grade) and stitching. Two days turn around, pay when done, VS 4-5 weeks Bleith quoted at 40% higher price, with no delivery performance assurance and days to return emails, if at all.

To end my part of this. Steeda customer service in the end made it right. They gave me a discount that covered the cost of the tap set. Hopefully they will listen to the suggestion that there needs to be printed instructions with the wheel. They are under the impression that the screws are self tapping. I don’t believe they are. I did try them and they were not cutting and seems like the threads were flattening on the screw. But if they were they have to tell people that.

The most important thing about this wheel is I ended up loving it on track. Very comfortable at 9 and 3. Still getting use to it on the street but it is a very well designed track wheel. So I’m happy with it.

If it's good I intend to see if he wants serious business then explore ramping it up to boutique commercial.

We also discussed my seats and door cards made on site with Italian NAPA, as well as matching convertible top fabric on the adjacent plastic trim and snap in filler pieces. In the sides.

The Katzkinz installs look hit and miss with lots of wrinkles and deformations on many. I don't want the aggravation dealing with an installer telling me its "normal".

That thread form looks quite specific (rather than something you would find in a generic tap set), what size is it ?

TapTite Screws are generally not round. And often have a much sharper thread-form.
They need to source CORRECT fasteners if they really do intend for them to do that.

I have the Katskin and no issues . they have been in car for 2 yrs. they look great!

I have Katzkin seats in my Steeda 2022 Mach 1. I had no issues with them.

You will have to talk to Steeda for that information. My bill of materials does not list that information. I actually got to tell them what I wanted and they gave me three design to choose from. @tj@steeda can you talk to Bob Adam’s and find out the information for Shogun32 please.

Love the color combo. The fit is better than most I've seen.

I could not accept the wrinkles though .....

I think it's a crap shoot on the installer knowing the seat foams are identical as are the precision Katzkinz robot cut.

At least if I have it custom made locally by hotrod guys they can't point a defect finger at anyone but themselves.....I will pay a premium for that accountability.
