You are correct. I should have clarified that the OP could actually get away with drilling out the threads in the Steeda shocks and bolting them to the bottom of the RLCAs, which have the threaded standoffs in them. The holes in my shocks are actually slotted to allow for more side to side adjustability if needed.you can't have BOTH threaded. Either the flat-bar (or previously tacked on nut) is threaded or the AL base is threaded. I would be VERY surprised the casting is threaded. Should just be a clearance hole to pass-thru the fastener.
