I'm still grinning. And I really can't believe how much better the trans shifts, that's really surprising.

But.....

I had this occasional clunk from the rear end before, and now with the firmer suspension it's happening more often. It sounds like either part of the exhaust is hitting the underside of the car, or the tire inflation kit is banging around.....

Dunno, probably take it back to Grimace just to have him double check everything still is tight and fine, and maybe hunt around for that damn clunk.
Probably swaybar endlink or you're just hearing the driveline clunk.

In my experience on my S550, stiffening the suspension only exacerbated the sloppy driveline. I don't even listen for the clunking any more.

I’ve only driven the car once since I installed everything but I’ll be driving it tomorrow so I’ll have a good chance to check for any noises. After the install I drove around Rockville for 30 min with the radio off and hitting every bump I could find to check for noises. I was also interested in how the driveline would act after reading your review but I left the car in the shop over night before I had driven it so the trans was probably 60* or so already. Tomorrow morning should be a good test though

It was 36 degrees this morning, not a nibble, not one. Every shift was clean and easy.

I woke up later than usual so I didn’t drive it today, it was 31 degrees in Frederick this morning. Not to get off topic, but what transmission fluid are you using?

After my first track day at Sebring, in my stock only GT, I was hooked. The first thing that was noticeably needed was improvement to how it handled. Pretty sure this is when I bent my front end-links also.

Nothing but great things to say about all my Steeda suspension upgrades (See Sig)

Last run was this past Oct. will be back again in March.

Kicking butt now at Sebring too.

So denizens of NoVA, what shops are doing the work on these? I've got a pile of mostly same parts and not having a place to work on cars, am needing to contract it out. PM if posting that info here is non-kosher. If I don't mind taking a 3-4 day road-trip Steeda themselves provided a very reasonable quote.

Happy to do it in Atlanta but still seems far :)

4 lbs more of air. So your running 36 psi? I live in the DMV too....how does the increased PSI effect the ride?

More bouncey/less compliant. Changing to 32 warm is a noticeable improvement from 36 warm.

Ah so it’s not adding 4 lbs it’s removing 4 lbs. I’m running the progressive lowering springs. I’m going to try this and see how I like it.

it also depends mightily on the stiffness and height of the sidewall and thus the brand+model of tire. You have to drive *really* hard to put any kind of decent heat into tires on public roads. Buy a harbor freight IR gun and compare your 32psi cold vs 28psi cold and do comparable runs to see if it makes any difference. And while you're at it get the 'optimum' temp data from the tire manufacturer and assuming you have a suitable place in which to attempt it, drive harder and harder over the circuit till you get into the zone, if that's even possible.

Where do you go play @BmacIL? St. Charles or all the way up past Rockford?
