I have to ask the question, since I haven't seen it asked yet.

Considering the different designs/build materials, which would be best suited for daily drivers in northern climates? I'm concerned about longevity with regards to freezing conditions and corrosion that results. Spherical bearing vs delrin bushing design, is one better?

Both are extremely durable, but I'm not sure how delrin reacts to freezing conditions.

BMR's setup may add a little NVH being that there's no bushings, but it looks very well built.

Personally, I have Steeda's set.

I looked at what I was doing to my car overall and how I would drive it. This is my
daily driver that I will track HPDE 2 - 3 times a year. I went with Steeda as they have
tested their parts at Sebring and when it came to it their suspension packages were a
better fit for my needs. Again, nothing against BMR, their parts are I am sure just as
reliable. For my money though, I chose Steeda.

BMR makes quality stuff, and costs significantly less. I saw no change in noise or vibration when I installed my BMR vertical links, and they fit perfectly. I like Steeda parts, as you can see from my signature, but for some of their stuff you are paying their "first to market" fees.

NVH should be the same on both pieces.

Durability, well that is something we will have to just wait and see to be honest. Both designs can develop slop or play if they are exposed to contamination. Both designs are serviceable.

We are known for offering many solutions, even for the same part. Like our multiple cradle and diff solutions, we are also going to have multiple Vertical Link solutions (and I would bet Steeda will also)

We plan on having an all bearing solution, and a delrin/bearing.....and possibly an all Delrin if our customers request it enough. At this time, I have not really received any inquiries on offering a Delrin only option.

Both are excellent parts IMO, both are made in the US. Of course, we feel ours are the best available, as any company should.

Both are great options and I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever you decide to go with. We had the opportunity to really put ours to the test last weekend at Sebring and they performed phenomenally!

^ And that is why, IMO, people are silly to go with any other options. BMR and Steeda are the clear leaders in latemodel Ford Suspension.

We both design, manufacture and test our parts so the consumer gets the best products available :headbang:

The BMR TCA045 Links are working well on some very fast cars. The quickest and fastest 2015 Mustang on the planet runs our Vertical Links:

My personal '15 has had great luck with them.

And of course, our road course PP car has been tearing up Sebring and The FIRM with them, on 295 Hoosier Slicks (no street tires here ;)

Rest assured, whichever direction go - if you choose the two brands being discussed, you will have a great experience.

Happy Modding!

^^^ the level of professionalism exhibited by these two vendors makes me glad that I deal with them both.

Great work guys, and I'm loving the BMR/Steeda hybrid suspension I run!

Thanks for everybody's input and responses. Oh, the hidden costs of being early adopters... the lack of long-term product reviews.

Knowing that BMR and Steeda both have long standing credibility and history with their products really does help put me at ease though.

What gives? I thought for sure BMR and Steeda would be at each other's throats. This civility and maturity is boring as hell to watch.

And here I was with my popcorn all ready for the show....

Seriously - always nice to see a company respect the work of another, while at the same time believing the options they offer are better.

Things only become entertaining when products are blatantly replicated - as we (BMR) and Steeda have both been battling that for many many years.

I think the guys over at Steeda know better than to think we would copy a product, and we know they do not, as well. When you have two companies who develop parts from scratch, test them, and manufacture them in house - you will have two companies who are fierce competitors, but have a high level of respect for each other.

Suspension is all we do here at BMR. We have been doing it for 20 years now, and have no plans of slowing down anytime soon. For the S197 Platform, we offer more suspension and chassis components than any other company in the world, and we plan on replicating that with the S550. ;)

Looking at the design, I think the spherical bearing is the better choice. It is possible that a delrin bushing might try to bind during suspension movement - you don't have the potential for that situation with a spherical bearing. Maybe it's not a problem, but it could be. Why not go the safer route?

We've tested our vertical links to over 9" of travel with zero bind. We love competition and we bet BMR does, too! Honestly we both just want to put out the best possible products for our customers.

Looking forward to my BMR vertical links!
Enjoy! I may need to reach out to them as I've been eyeing their S197 k-member and we don't manufacture one.

Let me know David, I will take care of you sir. ;)

I owe it to ya - when Gus was there, he always gave me great deals on your parts for my '98 and '04 Cobras.
