Ford Performance provided tune from MR track package. Or would that simply be on par with GT350R stock calibration?
the Ford 'MR track package' tune is AFAIK just the tune used in the GT350/PP2 trims as compared to the PP1 sad-sack attempt. Nobody knows for sure if the Mach1/GT500 actually have different programming. You'd think all those track hours FP was bragging about were actually productive...

I think the best person to ask is Vorshlag.

If you get the M1/500 dampers and you can try swapping Ford controllers between GT350 iteration vs Mach1 iteration. If you have a friend with GT500 they might loan you theirs as well.

Not without throwing all of the codes for drive mode not being available.
seems like there oughta be a ForScan mod to tell the BCM, hey, this is a Non-MR car and get on with it.

There's an entire separate VDM in the back trunk of the car that handles all of the mag-ride inputs and outputs.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but other than saving a few thousand dollars, why bother with stock style struts? I'm surprised more people aren't running coilovers, especially if running in camc.
Nobody competitive is sticking with traditonal stock struts, they’re trying to get stock Magnaride struts to perform.

in theory you can have your cake and turbocharge it too if you could get a magnaride system dialed in for competition. You could have a compliant(ish) ride, and very clever shocks that change to suit the action. I say *ish* because you still must run competition spring rates.

traditonal coilovers aren’t smart and adaptive, but they’re much much simpler to adjust.

i did win a championship a couple years ago with $2500 coilovers which I paid a lot less than retail for, but they came out of an autocross focused shop and were setup by a very active winning driver/shop owner. I was too cheap to spend on MCS or Penskes. My car also didnt come with MR so it wasnt a hard choice, but the guys who start with MR cars seem reluctant to gut it.

This makes me question whether I should try to adapt the Magnaride system into my base non-magnaride car.

Probably virtually impossible if not just impractical. There are threads here on the feasibility of doing that exact thing so I'd start by looking there.

I will take the expert opinion of you all here and just steer clear. Better leave the electronics alone...I always find a way to turn my stereo in the car into a black screen paperweight...just by turning the car on.

Forget about it *
Adapt Ford magneride with CAN integration and drive modes (that your car doesn't have I think) - forget about it - like others mentioned above.

Install stand alone adaptive damping system - sure - DSC will sell you one. They had Tractive coilover dampers (spool valves, not MR but adaptive) and stand alone controller and were supposed to come up with some new dampers but I think they fumbled it.

Would that make sense ? Doubt it. See my remarks about being able to take advantage of it (adaptive dampers have ~100x more levers to pull than knobs on triple adjustables) and driver being the lowest hanging fruit always.
