Do you have weatherstripping on the top of the headlights to help limit the underhood airflow? That really does help.
Second this with vents. I negated mostly all my hood lift issues.

Funny you say that, I saw a 15-17 Mustang on the ride home that I could tell the hood wasn't quite flush, and had this same thought, or even running a thin strip of tape all the way across. Your idea is more re-useable than mine.

Rob Dahm talks a little about hood vent placement on his pikes peak build in his latest video and his data bass on discussions with the manufacturers seems to support it being further back than you'd expect and more in line with where the Race Louvers vents are mounted on the 2018+ cars.

Discussion around the 30 minute mark.

Can you send a pic of something like looking down onto your hood so I can see how your personal ones are cut on the GT350? Your GT4 style vents seem farther back as well...

Like this. Center vent is about the center of the hood.

I kind of see where mine may be 2-inches forward of yours. But that might be because of vent size.

Alrighty, time for the seat talk. I am looking at Sparco EVO XLs, I am 210lbs, 5' 9", anyone else around my size using a specific Sparco seat in their S550? Looking for your favorite fixed back seat suggestions! Thanks!

Tried going somewhere to test fit seats, closest is 6-7 hours away ;-;. Was able to sit in the Sparco EVO XLs nearby and liked them/think I fit well.

Great seat. Have some friends using them. Look around locally to see if there is a local race shop that has seats in inventory you can try out. Our little track here in Dawsonville, GA has a small scope with about 6-8 seats on average you can try out. Paying return shipping on a seat or pair of seats isn't a fun time if they're too narrow.

Thanks for the info! I tried out some Corbeaus and such, the only ones FIA approved I could sit in 30 mins from home were the Sparcos. I think with my decently long torso the harness height was juuuust right.

If you go to a track day and talk w/people who have seats in their cars they will usually let you sit in them. I've never been told no and everyone's wanted to talk about their setup as well.

We're totally different sizes so I can't make a suggestion for a seat based on what I've sat in, sorry.

@mavisky out of all the measurements for fitment, which are the most important to look at?
Waist size to determine the lower bucket width and sport coat size to identify harness slots and shoulder fredom. Those two will help you find commonality with someone else and that may help you find a comfortable seat if you're not able to find one to try personally.

Waist 39", suit 44r, and my torso height sitting down very straight is around 23-24"...so EVO XLs are the closest for my chonk in measurements. My computer seat is sim style with harness slots and the slot at 24.5" would allow the belt to slightly dip down to my chest. 🐷 on a hard surface seat to shoulder its more accurate at 25 1/4”.

OMP WRC XL might be worth looking into also. I know people like the Airtex material and one of the things that sells them on the seat.
Also it may cost more than other places but Amazon sells the seat with free returns. Just an option
