Definitely not saying it's not, but on an 11" wheel a 305 will outperform a 325 99% of the time. All we care about is contact patch, not tire width. If you pinch the wider tire, the actual tread area will be arched instead of flat. This results in those additional millimeters hovering off the groun and a less responsive tire in general as you've already introduced flex to it. This makes the handling seem unreliable as the sidewall will shift more than it already would to begin with and that will cause the car to break away in a more snappy fashion than a more progressive slide that's easier to also recover from.

Wider is almost always better, but to do so correctly you need to go wide in every facet, not just the tire.
Roger. So for 18x11s when I get them I should go 295s?

I finally got the 19s and had them mounted. Tire shop struggled, lol.

mounted diameter seems about 26.2". That's off the car, not rolling diameter.
Thanks for following up. I'd be curious what you think about them - Dallas keeps posting how people won on them - but for the most part they would have won (or be the top 5 or so) anyway.

Ya its going to be a while. I’m still working on the hardware side of things, and missing a lot of events.

At Beeville, a ton of guys were on them. The feedback I got from owners was yoks are probably still faster, but not by much, and the Vitours didn't overheat as fast. The stiffness was also identified as a defining characteristic. I got to drive El Moostang for a couple runs on OG Vitours (Date stamp 2023), and there was still more grip in those tires than the CRS I decided to scrub in at the event on my car (horrible idea if you were wondering. Took to Sunday to get any confidence in them, and my cone count confirms the lack of grip). So they are definitely robust tires that will last and maintain grip.

Feedback I heard 2nd hand from Austin Barnes was that the Yok is better, but the gap is pretty small.

I agree with your sentiment, a lot of guys that won on them were always top 5 guys anyways.

That's another reason I sold the 18s and bought 19s for the Vitours. I have two sets of 19" wheels which I'm not using much, and I intend to put another set of Yokes on the 18 lightweight forged wheels. I really like that combo since the Yokes are properly light tires too. The Vitours are pretty heavy.

Do you recommend I get APEX forged 18x11s ET52s or 19x11s ET52s?

currently on LMR SVEs Gen 1, 19x11 ET52s, doubt they are forged

Yeah I recommend you drive as much as possible. Then pick tires.

THEN pick wheels for the tires.

There some wide (345 ?) Vitours that some (Schotz on a Camaro ?) I think are already running.
That's better than not having anything. There really isn't a super-wide 18" tire either (at least not a Yokohama/Bridgestone) so it's not like 19" wheels are at particular disadvantage.

True but there is a big gap in the 315 offerings for 19's which means you basically have to choose between 295 Yoks or 305 stones. The Falkens are the only thing in 315 and then I guess Vitours in 345 according to what you're saying. A 345 takes a 13-13.5' wheel to properly support it so you're no longer clearing any version of stock fenders if you go that route.

It's crazy to me how few 18" offerings it's become in 315. The stones need a 315 in both 18 and 19, and it might be the best AutoX/track tire combo.
