You could upgrade to a lithium . Im happy with my antigravity atx-30hd. Really tight fit in the OEM battery box and you have to mount it sideways and bend the wire harness connector to connect, but it works. and like 20 lbs lighter than standard battery up high in the front of the car. ATX-20hd would work too and fit alot easier and be even lighter.

May not work for you if you are living in a cold environment, not really sure.

did you get the core charge refund for the OEM?
I did not. In a curious chain of events, I bought the battery first, put it in the car and then it was not going to work for me to return for the core charge refund.

It appears that pro-rated warranties are disappearing and everyone is going to a 3yr free replacement.
With that being said, I have had good luck with Duracell from Sam's, and the Ever Start Maxx line from Wal Mart.
Yes, it seems a lot of them eliminated pro-rated warranties. My Napa entry level for one of my cars is 18 month replacement only, no pro-ration. However, the Interstate MTP-96R has a 30 month free replacement and pro-rated beyond that up to 6 years.

I would be interested in a lithium replacement but...for their cost, you should get at least 6yrs free replacement warranty, or maybe more. How much did you pay for your atx-30hd?

LIke Joe603 and Evolvd, running similar wattage stereo systems. I installed the Costco Interstate AGM H5 (Group 47) 3 year warranty for $189. It fits with a slight lift of the battery cover and provides more power than the 96R stock.

My 2019 battery finally met it's demise, I went with the 96R-590. The battery swap with the BMS reset was 5 minutes. Great info on these forums.

I would steer clear of LiPo batteries. The full size models require their own charging management system that does not play well with Ford’s BMS.

Aside from lighter weight what does it get you?
It only has 600CCA which you can get in a flooded battery that's the correct size. And Costco sells it for half the cost. Or a H5/47 (like that lipo) with 670CCA for $185.

I did the NAPA Legend 96R, $200 OTD.
reset the BCM. Now the gauge runs at around 14V (it s was 14.5 before).
Old battery showed 12.2 volts when sitting and was OEM.
Rather not get stranded .

Summit Racing has the XS Power D4700...there's a store near me; probably going with that.

I go to that store in McDonough when I feel the need to browse auto parts. :)

I just looked at that battery and put in my car's info and it says it will not fit my car. Did it say the same for you?
I knew it fit from others on the board. It’s not an OEM battery for our car, so it would not show up for fitment.
