I entered my '18 EB Premium in and it says that it fits. To be clear, I'm referring to the AGM battery from AutoZone.I just looked at that battery and put in my car's info and it says it will not fit my car. Did it say the same for you?
The battery in our car is a 96R size battery. Any 96R battery is going to fit like OEM. They're all going to be 590 - 600 CCA.
The nearest larger capacity battery in physical size is the H5/47 size battery with 650 CCA. Its length and width measurements are within 1/16" of OEM. Their height is 5/8" - 3/4" taller and reportedly allow the battery box cover to fit with just a slight upward bulge. One member here said that he was able to use a heat gun and reform the cover to fit as it should. The 50-60 extra CCA should help the starter spin the engine faster an do so in cold weather too. Also, to a certain extent, the battery should last longer before its capacity falls out of a usable range.

. It has a 2.7 L engine PS & PW…..that’s all. It takes a 700 CCA Battery. Meanwhile my Mustang which is loaded with factory electronics takes a stock 590-600 CCA battery. WTH. What are these engineers thinking. Is this for cost cutting or what ???
