was this with an h or x-pipe?
X-Pipe. From what I've heard, the H is better in this regard but only marginally. It's mostly the mufflers.

Is Borla Touring louder or quieter than stock + x-pipe resonator delete ?
There's no way the Borla Touring is quieter than a resonator delete + stock mufflers. It might not be much louder but it certainly is. Stock mufflers are very acoustically restrictive, the S-type mufflers in the Touring catback are straight through and not restrictive.

The x pipe changes the tone and volume dramatically! I went from Borla Touring with resonator to an x pipe making my setup an stype. The volume difference is pretty wild. That resonator is the key. I heard stock mufflers with x pipe and they are in my opinion louder than borla touring, especially on high rpms.

Try the AFE catback, I have it and love it. No drone or anything and its a 3 inch with an X pipe and a crossover at the axle.

We would second that recommendation! Our Street catback gets you that deep muscle car tone without affecting the practicality of the car by being too loud.

You can get a taste of what it sounds like here:

The sound comparison begins at 2:03!

Since you're here - what's the weight of your Street catback ?

The shipping weight of our Street catback (in box with all the packing material) is 60lbs.
Thank you - do you have weight of the system itself (everything that goes on the car) ?

Like others have said, I would just cut out the stock resonator and throw on an X pipe to up the sound slightly on the stock setup. I paid $149 shipped for a really nice J&M X-pipe, and it's an easy install, just 2 cuts and clamp it on.

Just do a resonator delete. Plain and simple. Sounds exactly like stock but just...amplified a bit. Basically how it should've sounded to begin with. If anything it's at least a good starting point.

I've been running my Lethal H-pipe resonator delete for probably about a year now. I love it and it sounds great. I'm tempted to go a bit louder bit haven't yet.
Put a Magnaflow Street 19100 on my car right after I bought it (kept missing shifts because stock was too quiet), kept it on for a year, then bought a used stock exhaust from a 6G member to put back on to go touring with my wife this summer (she was never a fan, it's now sitting in my garage).
Turns out the new used stock exhaust sounds fine as-is: either it was broken in better (red-lined more) or my early production exhaust was more restrictive. I'd love to hear a stock one with the H-pipe, though.
