The tank dumps coolant over board, different design than the football . Early model Mustang, late model recirculates coolant .

FYI
Oem Bottle will do the same thing. Just doesn’t have a line that directs it.

Man if it didn't have thier name on it three different places that would be awesome
Reminds me of back in my carb days we use to mill of the names on aftermarket dual plane manifolds and paint them engine colour haha.

Not following that, guessing the difference is early versus late model.
My reference is a 2020 .

I'm also not following. All expansion tanks recirculate coolant, and all will dump coolant if need be.

Sorry my reference was to your comment about "The tank dumps coolant over board, different design than the football" and "early vs late model", not about how the factory system works. By 'tank' do you mean the Radium tank, and are you implying it's different in function to the factory tank. :like:

Was speaking about the Radium tank. The tank's most current part # is for a 2015 Mustang. Also the line looked to be an overflow ?

Thinking that the tank might be for an early model car ?

All expansions tanks have an overflow, incase you overfill it or pressure get's too high. Difference is the s550 overflow is incorporated into the tank itself. It will vent through the cap internally, through the internal hole and then drain out the rear of the tank. I just took a couple of pics to show you. All the s550 tanks are the same.

Figured I make a short post. Added the Radium Engineering S550 coolant overflow to ditch the stock hideous bubble tank. What a difference!

What brand/type of hot air box is that???
The rubber top seems to be from a 350 minus the sealing foam between the box and fender

it works with our cars as it has a 1.5 bar pressure cap like factory. Take your stock cap off and you’ll see the hole inside where the coolant will blow out in like this radium tank would.

It’s a CJ PMAS intake and I modified the stock box to work with it. Keeps IAT’s down way better than the supplied PMAS heat shield that does absolutely nothing.

I am not sure what you're pointing at ?

Football has 3 ports .

Looking at the coolant diagram. 3 red lines off the football, are plumed to capture the coolant. No coolant is blown overboard, again maybe it is a newer design.

Good discusion

I must be weird but I don’t see anything wrong with the factory bottle
As a matter of fact it’s better to be able to see through
For both level and coolant cleanliness

I think he's talking about the square hole at the bottom of the threads.
