I would like to upgrade my 2018 GT350R coolant expansion tank. However, it looks like there is a decent clash between upgraded tanks and the Ford Performance Air-Oil separator on the passenger side.

I assume people have installed them already, and if so, can you comment on which ones fit and which ones do not? The Shelby tank says specifically that it does not fit with the AOS.

I did a search, but nothing specific came up (my search-fu may be week). If you have a link, feel free to send along.

I don't know of any full size tanks that will just slide right in there and not require some cramming or moving around. There's some slimmer tanks that work like a champ (AMP and Radium), but any full sized, you'll have to accomodate somehow. They fit, but everyone I've tried takes a touch of accomodation.

Install the GT500 passenger oil separator and you don't have to worry about cramming it in behind the coolant tank. It also auto drains back into the crankcase so you don't have to service it.

Thank you Gentlemen.

For the GT500 AOS, do you also need to do the valve covers per the Ford Performance recommendations? Or can you make the existing plumbing work for the GT500 AOS?

Yes you need to buy the aluminum valve covers, 3 double ended studs, and the GT500 AOS for the conversion. I ended up sand blasting the aluminum valve covers multiple times to rough them up and make them have the same texture as the plastic valve covers. Then I powder coated them black to appear plastic and blend in with the plastic ignition coil covers. The sand blasting makes the powder coating appear matte instead of shiny and smooth.
