So it's a twin turbo with true flex fuel, which means it will be running a Motec. The only company out there that's using the Motec regularly with high quality twin turbo s550 builds Fathouse Performance. If this is a collaboration between the two, that would be amazing and the car will be built...
It will transform the garage. You'll love it. The fact it self cleans is so good, I've never had a garage floor constantly clean. Also, use a tile cutter. I think you can hire them from bunnings. I used a jigsaw and it was really ideal. Doable, but getting a straight cut is quite difficult.
That's awesome! Just make sure you start in the right corner, unlike myself who started in the wrong corner and only realized after I was halfway through
I am using one. Just note that it is molded carpet with no hard backing of any type. So it is light, but flimsy and nothing like the oem one. However, it is exactly what I wanted and serves it's purpose well. Easy to cut and install.
Mate I'm in Australia too! I got mine off Flexico here in Oz. They have a warehouse stacked full of swisstrax. Mine was delivered in 5 days and much cheaper than bringing it in.
You have a big garage man, this will totally transform it. I cant express in words how happy I am with the...
I'm actually not sure on what it is exactly, as it was painted that color when we moved in and I didn't touch it when I did the garage. But it's a white, same white as we have on our interior walls. I believe it's natural white or similar. Not bright white, looks like a bit of grey in certain...
Yeah it is very similar to one of his garage renovations, just without all the expensive stuff :giggle: Yeah they are swisstrax, silver and black. My favorite part is the lighting. Never worked in a garage with good lighting. I went silly and put 6 of those LED light bars across the ceiling, 3...
Yeah interesting. Ford doesn't sell them there, so I wonder what the situation was with those cars. I didn't realize a third party could get one straight from the assembly line as an export.
Are you talking private exports, or are you referring to Ford actually selling these in those countries. Ford definitely does not sell the GT500 in the UK or Spain.
GCC (Middle East) got the 350 and 500 in small numbers from Ford. As far as I'm aware that was the only market outside of North America/Mexico. They had metric gauges, euro side mirrors (not euro tail lights though) and a full size spare wheel. I believe none of them had stripes also (possibly...
In terms of shifting there is no difference at all. But when you go into reverse, one you pull the reverse lockout as factory, and for the second you have to push the shifter down against a spring to then move it into reverse.
I would go the pull-up factory style lockout. It's a bit easier and...
That comment posted this far along the conversation says a few things:
1. You don't know what your talking about, but willing to give advice. It means you don't know what you don't know. I tried to explain to you in a nice way how you may have been misinformed, but you just dismissed it, which...
Yes that is what a recovery tank does. An expansion tank is not a recovery tank. I've already explained it on page 1 in this thread. The S550 uses and expansion tank, not a recovery tank.
In old cars, the top of the radiator was the 'expansion tank' if you will. They didn't use to fill the...
All expansions tanks have an overflow, incase you overfill it or pressure get's too high. Difference is the s550 overflow is incorporated into the tank itself. It will vent through the cap internally, through the internal hole and then drain out the rear of the tank. I just took a couple of pics...
Neither is better, it depends more on what you want. The flat stick is pushdown because the reverse lockout won't fit with the flat stick. So if you want the flat stick, you get the push down style.
If you don't want the flat stick, or if you don't want a pushdown lockout, then get the other...
