Hello, I have some questions for those who have the quick Jack. I am wondering if there is a specific size needed for an S550 or if there are multiple sizes that will work? I have a chance to get a 7000XL for a very good price so if there are multiple sizes, will there be a problem using the 7000XL on my S550? I also have side pipes with a fairing on the sides covering them, will they be an issue using it, or can I just move the jack in board a little to compensate? Thank you guys for any and all input.

I do not have jacking rails. They are mounted to the car where the normal side skirts attach as well as a couple of small aluminum "L" brackets that add stability/rigidity to them that attach to the underside of the car, 2 per side and they are just sheet metal self tappers, Nothing too substantial.

I have the standard 5000 lb model and the Jack's rubber blocks ride on them keeping the weight off the Side skirts i guess if you can position a floor jack. Under it you should be able to put a Q J. Under it

Theres a member on my local FB page that has the 5000xl for his and its fine. Also, there are pucks that you can get that will give you move lift of different positioning points if you need it.

Here's what I have:

I have jacking rails, but I also used them when it was just hitting the pinch seam both front and back. You can move them front to back, but not really inside to outside. They need to line up with the pinch seam to lift the car. It's possible you might need to use the taller pucks, which may require driving the car up on blocks to start with. Getting these was one of the better investments I made as far as ability/convenience to work under the car.

How high do they lift? High enough to remove a transmission?

Can you slide them in from the side between the wheels, or do you drive over them, then position it from there?

I have the 5k lb model. I'm able to slide mine under from outside. 19" rims, non lowered car and there are no clearance issues at all. Quickjack site says it lifts up to 24" off the ground. I've never measured how high it goes, but this seems about right.

I have the 5000lb extended version. I also have Steeda full length rails and using the medium blocks I can just barely roll the QJ under the car. I did the caster wheel mod on my jacks which makes it so much easier to place them under the car and adjust their placement without dragging them across my concrete floor.

Those roller bearings are on my short list of things to do this week. After watching the youtube of them I felt dumb for not thinking of that years ago.

I slide them in from the side. I think there are even instructions saying not to run over them. You'd take a big chance on breaking the hydraulics if you did. The 7000lb ones are a bit heavy, but they do slide. On my Roush I could get them under the car with the shortest blocks before I added the jacking rails. When I added the jacking rails I had to go to a 2x4 under the front part. I don't have any issues with any of my other cars.

Not sure of exact height (but it's something like 18" of lift). I have removed transmissions with regular jack stands under the car, and these go significantly higher. The trick becomes being able to get to everything without having access from the side of the car. Shouldn't be a problem with a Mustang. There's quite a bit of room between them.

Ok, good to know, thanks.
