I have the QJ 7000TL and love it. One of the best purchases I've ever made. Looking back on it, I should have bought the 7000 TLX to accommodate my Explorer ST.
We also have Explorer ST. TLX ideal for ST. TL ideal for Mustang. I got the 7000TL since I lift the Mustang 20x more often than the ST. I use the height extenders for the ST and the shorter length is not an issue.

I have the 7000TL and they work great but are a pita to move around as they weigh a ton. If the 5000 model is any less weight I would suggest them. The 7000 is overkill unless you also need them for a full size SUV or pick up.

I have the 7000TLX and it's super overkill, the 5000 should be okay. I never use the extended TLX rails since the car is so low to the ground even if you're stock. S550 Mustangs are fine with the base model.

Here is my setup for the 7000TL.
Cut-down 2x6's in the trays, plus magnetic pucks from eBay, and transfer roller balls underneath.

ST parks over one jack and Mustang over the other.

I don’t recall which model has the lower height when down but I have to drive up on a 2x6 to get the front of mine up high enough to get the Quickjack under the jacking rail.

I had the same problem after installing the dual rates but I cut down the front rubber pads and now have the clearance

Awesome setup. I got to do something like this to make it easier to use with the jacking rails :like: Right now I have the pads marked but I like your solution better.

Not so quick, Jack.

I’ll play devil’s advocate as I purchased a 5000TLX for my 22 GT build.

Unfortunately, mine was DOA off the delivery truck and trying to get it resolved through their “customer service” department was an absolute nightmare. Long story short, it was returned, I lost a little bit of money, a lot of time, and all my faith in QuickJack. Do yourself a favor and buy a long-reach Daytona jack and a set of Sunex 10 ton pin type jack stands -you’ll save some money and likely feel safer if you’re working underneath.

You might find the pucks still fit with the jacking rails. Ultimately I took off my rails.
And yes, I marked the puck locations on the pinch weld with a paint pen.

@saleen367 I paid way less than that. Call Robert and ask him if he can give you the same price as me.

"Feel safer"

Are you sure you had the right quick Jack? It is much safer than Jack stands and a jack
