Agree with your statement here, I have spent a long time arguing this with older Co workers that run 87 in there vehicles that should be running premium but they don't want to hear it lol. They can save there $3 a week lol.I avoid running regular unless it is an absolute fucking emergency..... And having done the math before, the better fuel economy achieved with premium more than pays for the difference in cost. Because really what is it, an extra $0.20/gallon? In a 15 gallon fill that's $3, or another gallon of crap regular gas. For me it is worth it.

Not to mention that if you fill up in town on regular and drive through a mountain pass, you just might discover that the 86 octane you filled up with in the last town is more like 84 octane going through the pass...:eyebulge:(altitude causes the octane rating of the fuel to drop).
